Chapter 8- The First Milestone

"What's going on, love?" Shoto asked Izuku. It wasn't like Izuku to just stop in the middle of a sentence. However, he didn't get too dazed and did hear Shoto's question. He didn't respond with words though. He quickly, but gently, grabbed Shoto's hand and placed it on the left side of his stomach. Shoto tilted his head like a confused dog. "Just start talking about something again. It could be anything." Izuku told him quietly. He thought about something to talk about before speaking. "Well I have an opportunity for a promotion at work. I wasnt going to take it at first, but now I think it'll be in our best interest for me to take the job." He smiled. Izuku looked up at him. "Yeah. That's amazing, love." He responded with. Izuku kept holding Shoto's hand until it happened again. After a few minutes of silence, which felt like years to Izuku, it happened again. "Woah. What was that?" Shoto's eyes widened a little. Izuku let out a small and excited squeal. "I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm pretty sure that was the baby." Izuku told him as he looked up at him, his eyes almost sparkling. "Wait seriously? That's crazy. " Shoto said as he rubbed the side of his stomach. He then leaned forward and kissed his stomach softly. "That was adorable." Shoto reassured him. Izuku giggled and nodded. "Our baby's first little milestone. I had been waiting for that to happen. I'm so glad I told you when I felt it, you could have missed that moment if I hadn't." Izuku said as he leaned forward. He wrapped his arms around Shoto's neck and kissed him softly but passionately. Shoto was taken slightly aback by the sudden kiss, but soon melted into the moment. He gently wrapped his arms around Izuku's waist as he kissed back. They both were just so content in that moment and nothing could have changed that.
