Chapter 4- Backing Out

Once I finally realized where we were I was in absolute awe. I hadn't been to this site since our first date. "Babe...why did you bring me here? I mean I absolutely love that you brought me here but why?..." Izuku felt even more in love with Shoto now. He loved this area but he never had the time to come here anymore. Izuku, however, was also very nervous because he noticed that Shoto was a bit more dressed up now. He felt like all of this was happening for a reason, which it was, but he wanted to know what reason exactly.

When I saw Izuku's reaction it brought back all of the joy from that special day when we went out on our first day. "I brought you here to ask you for a very special question.." I start to trail off towards the very end without really really realizing it right away. I thought I was prepared to do this, but now that I actually had to do it I was quite nervous. However, I already told him I had a question and I didn't plan a back up for incase I had to back out. I start to panic and sweat a little, hoping that Izuku wouldn't notice. I just look into his eyes with the best loving gaze that I can muster among all of my nervousness.

I instantly notice how scared Shoto suddenly seemed. I and Shoto had been working on Shoto showing his emotions since highschool and he did wonderful with it. However, the one emotion that Shoto always refused to show was fear. When I did notice him showing fear I knew it had to be for a good reason. I started frantically looking around, assuming he saw something. "Is everything okay? What's going on?" I say as I finally return the gaze. I realize he had been giving me this stare for a while and it made me even more concerned. I instantly try to snap him out of his daze. "Baby? Is everything okay?" I asked and I gently rub his cheek with my thumb.

As soon as I felt Izuku's thumb I snapped out of my daze. It had been forever since I had just shit down like that. I had no idea why it happened. J was feeling so confident but it was quickly gone with a snap. "I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. You have helped me with so much over the years and I feel like I don't thank you enough." Shoto told him in a soft voice, truly hoping Izuku would just ignore that awkward moment. I watched Izuku's face change. His smile brought me so much joy. I knew how that I had to do this soon.
