"Come on Ziayn! You promised that you would go out with us tonight!" Fran's voice whines down my ear, as I try to drown out her constant moaning. Both her and Josh have been breathing down my back about going out to the nightclubs with them one weekend, and because of one stupid drunken night the three of us shared in Fran's apartment, I made a promise to get dressed up and go down town to let loose and have 'fun.' What is so wrong about wanting to stay in the comfort of your own home, wearing mismatched pyjamas, watching 90s romcoms while stuffing your face with sweets and chocolatey goods?

"Fran, leave me be." I simply say, keeping my attention on the TV. She groans in frustration, going into the kitchen to complain to Josh about my sensible decision. Soon enough, Josh is standing in front of the television, and Fran has seem to have disappeared somewhere. "Josh move out of the way!"

"No. This TV is going off, and you are going out. Fran is raiding your wardrobe for an outfit to wear, and all you need to do is go and have a shower and brush your teeth - you have popcorn stuck in those pearly whites my love." Josh sternly orders me, shooing me off my settee and into the bathroom. As I close the door, I hear the sound of my two best friends high fiving each other. I don't know why I allow them to easily sway me into agreeing to doing these things. I mean it is only one night out - that won't do me any harm surely...

The taxi pulls up outside the address Lillian sent me, the driver pulling me off memory lane, as he tells me the price of the journey. I pay him the fare, wishing him a good evening, exiting out the vehicle and walking up to the neatly painted black door. I ring the bell - hoping it works - as I patiently wait for it to be opened. The sound of keys knocking together, and being pushed into the keyhole causes me to step back, conscious that I might be too close to whoever answers to me. Finally the door opens, Lillian's warm smile greets me; she pulls me into a hug, and welcomes me into her home. The sweet smell of milk and honey hits me as I step inside, neutral nude tones surround me. I unlace my boots and neatly place them on the shoe rack before following after Lillian. She guides me into her kitchen where Sophia and Josh were cooking. Well Josh is cooking and Sophia, on the other hand, is playing around with a wooden spoon. She turns around - her eyes brighten up as she sees me, ditching the spoon and running up to me. Just like she did to Joan in the shop, she tightly hugs my legs. Giggling at her cuteness overload, I pick her up with my free hand, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hello princess Sophia, how are you?" I ask her, and she smiles.

"I'm good Zi Zi! Are those mine?" Sophia points to the Tesco bag in my other hand. I put her down, crouching to her level to show her what I had brought for everyone.

"These flowers are for your mummy," I hand the bouquet of lilies to Lillian, who thanks me and goes to put them in some water. "This beer is for daddy," I hear Josh cheer, causing everyone to laugh at him. "And these chocolate buttons are for the one and only - princess Sophia." I hand her the packet of chocolate. She squeals in excitement, as if I have handed her pure gold, thanking me as she wraps her little arms around my neck.

"You can have some of those after dinner little one. Ziayn you didn't have to get these for us-" Josh walks over to us, butting in.

"Oh believe me - this beer is a necessity," He pulls me into a hug, and I squeeze him tight. Josh always gives the best hugs. "It's good to see you Zi."

"It's good to see you too Josh." We release one another from the hug, as he offers to take my jacket. Lillian starts setting the dining table in their conservatory and I join her, helping her. She insists I take a seat and just relax, but I will feel uncomfortable just kicking back, while she rushes around. Sophia takes her seat and pats the chair next her, telling me that's where I'll be sitting for dinner. Josh brings in the food, the scent alone causes my mouth to water. Lillian brings freshly washed wine glasses for us adults to drink from; Sophia has her plastic cup that is already filled with blackcurrant juice. We say grace, and tuck into the delicious meal. Josh always makes the best Tune Pasta Bake in the whole entire world!
