Maze Runner - Imagines and preferences

He can't sleep

Thomas: You were sleeping next to Thomas when you felt the weight on the hammock decrease, you slowly woke up to see Thomas lying on the ground, 

"Thomas?" you whisper softly, leaning over the edge of the hammock, 

"Thomas, are you okay?" you ask again, 

"I don't know" he finally replies, 

"Come here," you say and he climbs back into the hammock, 

"Now, what's wrong?" he settles down next to you and begins,

"I had a dream where you had run into the maze and didn't return. All the Runners looked for you but you had disappeared and left no trace, then I went in and I found you, but you had been stung and you weren't breathing." you noticed tears running down his face, 

"I'll never leave you" you kiss him on the cheek and rest your head on his chest

Newt: You wake to hear sobbing, you roll over and Newt is sitting nearby with his head in his hands, shaking. You get out of the hammock and go and sit next to him, you swing an arm around his shoulder and lean in, 

"What's wrong, Newtie?" you say lifting his head up and wiping away his tears, 

"I..I know we'll eventually get out of here, and when we do, I'm scared things won't be the same between us" You notice he's shaking as he speaks,

"I'm worried too, but together we'll do what's right" you say as you give him a kiss, 

"I love you Y/N" 

"I love you too"

{Courtesy of my friend} Minho: You are eating lunch in the kitchen with Frypan and Newt. "Have you guys seen Minho lately?" You ask between mouthfuls. The two boys shake their heads. Suddenly there is a shout from outside. Gally runs up to you, a worried expression on his face.

"What's wrong?" You ask nervously. 

"Minho went in the maze" he pants. You can't believe it. Minho promised you he'd never go in there. It was too dangerous. 

"Are you sure it was him Gally?" The Glader nods slowly. You look at Newt 

"We have to find him" The older boy shakes his head. 

"You're not going anywhere. Me and Alby'll go" he walks out of the kitchens in the direction of the homestead. 

Later, you wait by the west door with Winston and Gally. Newt and Alby aren't back yet. Suddenly, you see the three boys coming towards the glade. You breathe a sigh of relief. None of them are injured. 

"What the hell Minho!" You shout once they're close enough. The other boys walk away leaving you alone with Minho. 

"You promised me that you'd never go in that maze. You lied to me!" Minho pulls you into a hug. "I'm sorry Y/N" he whispers into your hair. 

In the middle of the night, you wake up to the sound of screaming. With a jolt you realise it's Minho. You kneel beside him, trying to calm him down. 

"It's ok" you whisper, stroking his hair gently. 

"It was just a nightmare" the older boy looks at you with a look of pure terror. You can feel him trembling.  You wrap your arms around Minho, hugging him tightly. He buries his head in your shoulder. 

"What happened?" you whisper-ask. He takes a shuddering breath. 

"I saw one. A griever." He says it do quietly that you barely hear him. 

"It can't hurt you here"

{Also courtesy of my friend} Gally: You wake up early the next morning, when it's still dark . You roll over and try to go back to sleep but it's hard. Suddenly you notice something. Gally's not there, the space there is empty. You sit up quickly, careful not to wake the other Gladers and slip on your hoodie. You walk outside and find Gally sitting near the west door. You sit down beside him. 

"What are you doing out here?" you ask. He looks at you and shrugs. 

"Do you think the grievers will come in?" You think back to when Gally was stung just last month. "No, you're safe with me" you whisper.  You rest your head on his shoulder and together you watch the sunrise.
