You Get Back Together

Naruto

The war had finished almost a year ago. You were walking towards the village after a long mission and your body was exhausted. Sasuke had asked for some help on a mission and you had been sent out to see the boy. You loved getting to see one of your best friends, especially because he didn't live in the village anymore. You looked up at the gate and then a grin broke out on your face as you took off.

"Naruto!" You yelled, causing him to turn to you and his own face lit up. You glomped him in a tight hug as he spun you in a circle. His lips meeting yours as you smiled at the memory of getting back together with him.

You ran next to Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke had just finished their battle. You wanted to see how bad the damage was, and seeing it caused you a lot of pain. You knelt next to Naruto and held his hand, lacing your fingers between his as you looked at the boy. You smiled softly as Sakura and stroked Naruto's dirty hair softly.

"We're friends again, (Y/N) and Sakura. You don't have to worry about that anymore." Naruto said as his signature grin spread across his tired face. You shook your head as happy and relieved tears started to flow down your cheeks.

"You really are an idiot Naruto, the biggest one that I know." You said softly as you looked at him, leaning down and kissing him softly. "Happy birthday Naruto, I love you always."

"I love you too (Y/N), thank you for being my support." Naruto said and you kissed him again softly. "Does this mean that we are back together?"

"Yes Naruto, we're back together." You whispered before helping him up to get some better medical care.

You looked at your blonde knucklehead and ruffled his hair softly with a wide smile. You kissed his cheek and he set you down. You took his bandaged hand and laced your fingers through his, walking into the village where he treated you to some ramen after your mission report.

Sasuke

You looked at the dark haired male from across the fire, smiling softly to yourself as you moved your food around in the pan. You couldn't help but think about all the good things that had happened since you had decided to go on his adventures with him, to be a part of the village but to be free at the same time.

"What are you thinking about?" Sasuke asked you as he was watching you from across the fire. You looked up at him and then let a soft giggle part from your lips, giving him a happy shut eyed smile as you looked at him.

"About us." You said softly as he raised his eyebrow at you. "I'm thinking about all that we've done since we've been on these missions. I know you don't like talking and that's fine, I don't mind the silence. But in the night, the stories you tell me, they help fill in all the questions I had about you. Being with you just makes me happy, especially when you agreed to rekindle the relationship."

You stood at the gates beside Kakashi, he was letting Sasuke leave again. You didn't want to live without him again so you struck a deal with Kakashi. If Sasuke agreed, you would go with him and accompany Sasuke. But if Sasuke didn't agree you would become Kakashi's assistant and help get Naruto ready to be Hokage, only because you understood how it worked from Tsunade's time as Hokage and your friendship with the people all throughout the village.

"Sasuke, are you sure you have to leave?" Kakashi asked, looking at his former student. You looked at him, your eyes meeting the Uchiha's. You saw something in his eyes and then there was an agreement between the two of you. Sasuke knew you wouldn't take no for an answer when it came to going with him.
