There was a knock at Levi's door that startled both of us. We had been so entranced in what we were doing that I had forgotten what time was it and how long had passed since I had entered his room.

Another group of knocks followed only to go back to be silent, as if they had hope my voice or Levi's would answer to their inquiry.
My face flushed for a moment looking for a way to brush off whatever kiss had taken place moments ago and to utter the words I was quickly putting up together.

Surprisingly even if flushed all over, Levi was the one to respond more composed than ever.

"She'll be coming out now. Give us a second."

Now I was skeptical. He was acting as if he knew that whoever was beyond that door was looking not for him but for me.

I was ready to ask questions but Levi wasn't.

He immedietly hugged me and whispered,

"Thank you so much for being here with me. Although it was just a moment, it means a lot to me... You mean a lot to me... The kiss... It is all real... I meant what I said and did... Don't you forget it!"

With that said, he tightemed the embrace and walk me to the door.
When he opened it, Lucifer was standing, with a stern look on his face, which wasn't a surprise since he always wore that look. But something seemed different.

He looked up at Levi, who remaimed serious but his blush hadn't dicipated. Lucifer looked back down at me and then back to Levi who averted his eyes and uttered as he pushed me a little further unto Lucifers presence,

"There you go. Don't bother me now... I'll be playing my games..."

He closed the door and left Lucifer and me looking at each other intently in the quiet hall. From a far, voices came from downstairs but diminished as they reached my ears.

Lucifers penetrating cold stare wasn't something I was not used to but this time around he seemed agitated, or better say annoyed.

We had in some way argued back at the lake before the whole monster and evil sorcerer thing happened but that was about it. It surprised me more when he reached towards me and as he pulled me unto him, he burried his face on my neck and took a deep breath, softly letting it out, making the tip of my toes tingle and my face become warm as the blood rushed to my cheeks.

I could not see his face so I couldn't tell what expression was he making or far worse, the curiosity of why was he acting in such a way towards both Levi and me was eating me up.

When I was about to encircle him as well, he delicately but swiftly pushed me off him and cleared his throat.

"Sorry I... Come. Satan and Solomon are waiting in the secret study."

As he offered me his hand, I looked once again into his eyes to see them change into a different expression; tenderness, care, maybe a tinge of sympathy and a flicker of recentment, but also... Love...

Was he telling me he was sorry? That he felt bad about everything? That it wouldn't happen again? Any of it... That he loved his brother. That he cared about us and he felt powerless against it all?

Many questions rushed into my mind but one amswer from me blew them all away, because right now Levi was safe, I was safe, we all were and that was what matterd most.

I smiled tenderly at him, and as I watched his eyes shine at my response, he held tight as soon as I placed mine over his.

After we decended the stairs and he opened the door to the study, on Lucifer's desk, Satan was reading an open book as he held in one of his hands something that shined as the lights from the lamps hit it.
