The night was still not over. The warmth of a large soft body beside me protected me from feeling the eternal cold that the nights at Devildom brought with them.
I yawned and reached for the nightstand, still thinking I had my smartphone with me but soon remembered that it was non existent.
I ruffled my hair and looked down to Lucifer's sleeping face.
I could be cursed to never blink and be so grateful, because I could see such a magnificent creation and never loose track of any of his details.

I smiled and softly pushed to the side a string of his lush dark whitish hair off his forehead.

I murmured,

"So beautiful..."

Lucifer shifted and turned over, tuking the sheets over himself. I slightly chuckled before slowly getting up, walked up to the door, slowly turned the knob and went outside to the hall.

I thought about that, I should have brought with me my jacket, but then again, I was just going to the bathroom. I just had to go to the end of the hall and then right, walk for about a minute and I'd feel relieved after I was back again in my room. Easy as that.

The swish and slap of my night slippers echoed on the dead silent mansion. It made my skin crawl with goosebumps thinking about what things could be lurking in the dark inside the House of Lamentation, but Lucifer and the others had assured me the house was free of any specters or any of the things we masochistic humans tend to watch in horror movies. But even so, one could hear the evil creatures beyond the protective shield that was over the house, growling and screeshing.

The dim lights from the lamps didn't help on making one's nerves ease and my pace picked up. It wasn't the first time I walked on mid hours of the night but it has never been pleasant.

I whispered,

"Just... Just a little bit more...?!"

Suddenly, I was pulled by one of my arms and subsecuently my mouth was covered by a hand before I had the chance to scream for help.

"Shush shhhh... Pamy don't scream... It's me Solomon..."

I blinked so my eyes could focus on the one naming himself as my sorcerer friend.

It really was him.

Once he felt my breatjing even, and was convinced I wasn't going to create a show in the middle of the night, he moved away his palm and let me speak out my thoughts.

"Wha...What are you doing scearing me like that!"

He was looking a little flustered than normal.

"I... I was just going to the bathroom and..."

I added folding my arms over my chest.

"And how is it that you had the need to scare me to death like that, acting like some burglar or something, if you were only just going to the bathroom?"

He stayed silent for some time and continued.

"How about we just go to the bathroom and we could um... Chat a little... Catch up...?"

Seeying for the first time Solomon loose his cunning compture made me grin and feel suddenly warm inside.

"Sure! Why not!"

He chuckled and smiled back.

After relieving ourselves we walked not back to our dormitories but to the kitchen.

Thankfully, Beel had eaten a lot before going to bed this time so we could make some milk coffee and sit down to talk for a bit.

I asked,

"Tell me how did you even get out of the guest room? Didn't the brothers put a spell on it so you wouldn't go rummaging around the mansion, or even... be here with me...?"

Solomon nodded with a smirk.

"They did but, after the incidents with Levi and the "other" ... Me... Lucifer decided that if something happened they would need my assistance and it would be troublesome if I was closed in somewhere without the possibility to take part on defense strategies against whatever... With that said, he erased the isolation spell but with some conditions..."

I took a sip of the warm coffee and urged him to continue.

"One of them was, that I would not dare steal any valuables from the house."

I snorted.

"What could you possibly steal from here?!"

He chuckled and looked down.

"Maybe a grimoire..."

I suddenly figured how ironic my question was so I bursted out laughing and after a while became once again serious.

"Don't throw those jokes out loud Solomon or you might get yourself in complete lock down"

Solomon reassured me that he wasn't going to steal a thing, then he continued.

"He also told me... not to... Not to get near you...Actually all of them are watching over you like hawks! It has been a little troublesome..."

I inquired,

"What do you mean with TROUBLESOME? Anyways, the good thing is you got your freedom back if just for a little bit. I want to say, thank you for saving me back there. You and Lucifer and Levi... All of you sacrifice a lot for my sake... Scratch that! EVERYONES sake! And I fear that someday all would be for nothing..."

Solomon suddenly embraced me.

My eyes widened from surprise.

He said,

"No need... I believe... I believe it is all worth it... It will ALL be worth it. You'll see! Tomorrow, I'll make that water stone open the portal and will continue moving forward and end this chaos. Do you believe in every word I say?"

I nodded and naturally hugged back.

After a few moments I murmured, pulling away,

"It was nice talking to you. We must go back to our rooms before anyone finds us up at this hellish hours. Especially... Together..."

He nodded and as soon as we had gone back to our bedrooms, I slowly slipped myself under my sheets, trying as much as I could not wake Lucifer.

Feeling the weight on the opposite side of the bed, Lucifer shifted and encircled his arms around me.

The only problem was...

Lucifer's sensitive sense of smell.

"I should punish you both because you disobeyed me..."

He kissed my neck and nipped at it, sending shivers through my scalp.

"But... I can just punish you instead..."

Outside, other than the growls of ferocious beast, the hollering wind, the sound of night owls ands crows, I could swear that among all of it, a swift and melodious but at the same time sinister voice whispered,

"Soon... Soon Pamy... Soon you'll be mine... All mine~"
