CHAPTER 15: WHY SO MANY SECRETS?

I stared up to the shadow of the tall man in front of me, closing the distance between us.

Using a neutral but still imperative tone, he demanded,

"Why are you mad?"

Was I not allowed to be mad? wasn't there enough reasons to be mad was it?

I scuffed and muttered incrediously,

"And here I was thinking we were coming into and agreement but seems like I was getting to overhead with stuff... If you excuse me, I am going to bed now."

I walked foward and pass him as I reached for the door's handle to show him the way out but I was grabbed, spunned and thrown to the bed, followed by a thud and a creak coming from the bed being stressed upon by more than one body on it.

Both my hands were pinned by Lucifer's as he spoke with a frown on his face, that the little light that came from the window, let one see perfectly.

"Why are you making our conversation difficult? I am very displeased at this attitude of yours!"

I pouted and knited my brows withought even showing signs of fighting back. To be serious, he was far stronger than me, so it would be useless trying to escape from his grip.

"Now I'm the one with an attitude. Lucifer do you even hear yourself?! You and your brothers are the ones acting all misterious and spear the idea of communicating yourself coherently with ME. I should be the one being displeased by your ATTITUDE."

He gritted his teeth, but soon,  smirked as his eyes burned with something near being amused and excited.

Nesting himself in between my legs, pressing me further down unto the bed, he lowered himself, just enough for our lower bodies to be pressed unto each other and our faces inches away.

His slightly closed eyes scanned me over, like when he is looking at the paper work Diavolo always asks for him to look at.

I bit my lip as soon as our noses touched and couldn't help shiver when I heard his deep voice speak again.

"I am not here, in your bedroom, in this position, to argue. I do not see the need for it."

I tried this time to move further out of his grasp from under, but his grasp tightened and so did his weight upon my small figure.

It hurt, but that pain was washed away as I felt his soft moist lips on my ear.

"Don't struggle. I am trying hard enough to contain myself as to not go overboard with you..."

That did took me by surprise. My voice stuttered even if I tried to maintain myself unwavered by such alarming words.

"Wha... What are you saying? Get off me...me Lu...Lucifer, or I'll..."

He interjected.

"No. YOU listen to me. WE are protecting you. I AM protecting you, and just because you feel the need to play all hero and do whatever you want. That's not how it will work out. You are not in your room playing games Pamy, and you have to keep that in mind. You and Levi almost died, and even with me around things aren't becoming better. Even I couln't save Diavolo from being captured and escape unwounded after a fight with that evil sorcerer. Me; Lucifer, almost died. Knowing that, do you expect me to let you do as you please and get yourself killed? I believe not. I refuse such thing to happen!"

His crimson eyes glowed brighter as he exclaimed the last words.
I could feel my hands go numb.
I relaxed my body as I breathed in and out calmly, stearing intently at Lucifer.

I said,

"I understand..."

Lucifer's expression and grip on me softened, releasing my hands and placing his on the bed, at each side of me.

I sighed with a small smile as I reached for his face, cupping it in between my hands and stroking his unblemished cheeks.

I chuckled.

Lucifer muttered, something he rarely did, but hapened when he felt sorry for something; which  for the record, was not always.

"Why do you laugh...?"

I strocked his hair, sofly reaching for the one at the root of his neck. He liked that.

"I am not laughing at you. I just... You better than anyone, must know I form a great part in this mess as much as you all do. If we want to finish things without loosing ourselves, we need to work together..."

He slumped his head in agreement.

I felt his arms tuck me in an another embrace before whispering,

"I don't like it..."

Now, I wondered what did he mean. I felt confused.

He continued.

"Everyone wants you... What should I do about that?"

I believed he was... Jealous...

I backed away a little just to open my eyes wide at a blushing Lucifer who muttered,

"You smell like Levi... I don't like it... Solomon... He dare touch you without my concent..."

I grinned and pulled him into a deep kiss.

He turned his face slightly away.

I asked,

"Do you not want to kiss me anymore? Because I smell like..."

I was interjected yet again.

"You kissed Levi. It is different..."

The things is, I didn't understand the kiss between Levi and myself. Ever since the pacts I made with the demon brothers years ago, I felt a connection between them I never felt with anyone else. It was like a magnetic effect. One of the various things I noticed, other than they doing what I told them to, was that even if having conflicted emotions about our relationship, we end up feeling warm and soft when inches away from each other.

I whispered to myself,

"Curious..."

Lucifer turned his face back to me.

"What is curious...?"

I smile and encircle my arms on his neck pulling him down near my face.

I stated with a playful look playing on my face.

"Just how much you all care about this human... Why is it I wonder...?"

He was about to speak when my lips conquered his.

He said in between hot feverish kisses,

"You... You... Are not being a good girl...Mhn..."

I breathed out,

"Right... Back... At ya'..."

Our laughs brought joy to the eternal night.

If only times could remain as peaceful as this I wished. We would all be happy and satisfied.
