CHAPTER 17: DARKNESS WITHIN

Solomon and my steps echoed as we sprinted down the dark passages.

The voices and screeching laughter of the Shadows followed behind us.

There was no time to take a break, or to even dare look back. The only thing I had in my mind at the moment was that I needed to find Satan.

The stone mentioned, those which are more vulnerable to the Shadows, are those which doubt themselves and their own existence.

Once I understood what it meant it all, I went looking as fast as I could for the other two.

I was thankful to have caught to Solomon right on time but Satan's where abouts and state made me uneasy and restless.

Solomon breathed out as he gasped for air,

"Pamy... Do you even know where you are going?! I can't see a thing!"

I didn't need to see where I was going. I could feel Satan's seal on the back of my neck burning. My body could know where he was as his could. That's why it wasn't like him to leave me lost like I was before.

Something happened and he needed me.

Once I made a fast turn to the right, and opened abruptly two ironed lined, heavy doors, a gust of wind pushed Solomon and me back, making us hit our backs against the wall behind us.

I winced in pain, but all of that was gone as soon as my eyes beheald what was happening in the middle of the dimned and flickering room.

I screamed,

"SATAN! STOP IT RIGHT NOW!"

Another gust of wind pressed my body against the wall.

In the middle of the room, flying shadows flew and hovered over a giant dark smoke that moved and contorted itself as if it had a life of its own.

The smoke took the shape of clawed hands, grabbing and ripping the Shadows that tried to break in it.

It took the form of a monstrous undefined face which roared as it swallowed the dark creatures.
