Chained To A Vampire (ON HOLD)

Chapter Seven

The nightmare holds me tightly in its grip, all the chaos around Serena and I is deafening, Serenas hands surge with power as I attack, Aeliana giving me her strength and knowledge of fighting, blood splatters my face and hands, my stomach tries to revolt but there's nothing in it. A huge creature with spiderlike limbs stalks towards Serenas back, its malformed lips pulled back over horrifying fangs, green liquid drops from each tooth, hissing as it hits the blood splattered ground. Snapping the head of the wolf man I had in my grasp I race to Serena, spinning her away just as the creature sinks its fangs into the skin of my arm, piercing painfully, fire races through my veins as my fist collides with the creatures face, breaking the bones and sending it flying across the nothingness.

"Sapphire we have to get out of here." Serena whispers exhausted, standing back to back a circle of creatures decend on us, serpent like women slither along the floor, their yellow eyes glittering. Half creatures growl and shriek as they amble closer. More spider things stalk towards us, terror shakes my limbs, limbs dripping with blood but even now I watch in horror as the wolf man's neck cracks again as he stands, almost like a puppet before his eyes gather awareness again, lilac eyes glaring daggers at me. Then they all attack, I feel a sickening crunch as another wolf man snaps my arm in his jaw, I can't swallow the scream as I throw him away, one of the serpent women sinks their teeth into my leg, lava races from the site, kicking her harshly I jump and tackle a spider creature, pulling it away from Serenas neck as she drops harshly, snapping its neck I stumble back to Serena, my leg burning as i reach her, our backs touching, facing the nightmare creatures.

"they can't be killed." I groan, my head glancing up at some sort of winged gargoyle type creature, yellow liquid dripping down from its mouth, 3 others hover behind it.

"not here no. They'll just regenerate. We need to get out of here." Serena slams her hands on the ground, a huge wave of energy knocks everything back ten feet. On instinct I turn, grasping Serenas forearms and staring directly into her emerald eyes.

"bind your soul to mine." I say hurriedly, something inside me guiding me.

"I Serena Marsh bind my soul to Sapphire, to keep in her care. Our lives entwined, until death parts us." A glow spreads from Serenas hands to mine, tendrils of gold swirl around our skins, burning slight lines in our skin, the glow brightens and the creatures attack again, more feverently, but they hit an invisible barrier as the world around Serena and I burst into flames, i smell the lick of the fire on my skin, Serena's eyes glowing gold, a strange shifting inside me has my body thrown 20 feet into the air, Serena's body vanishes, suddenly i am catapulted back into the flames towards the unforgiving ground, bracing i expect pain but instead of hitting the ground i am sucked down into it, screams echo in my ears as i drop deeper and deeper into the black abyss. Then nothing, i am trapped, i try to scream but no sound emerges, i try to wake up but i cannot pull myself from this darkness. Paralysed in the dark i slowly start to hear scraping of chains on the floor, terror causes my heart to race, my palms sweaty as i helplessly stand still, unable to move an inch, i feel warm breath on the back of my neck but i still cannot turn, my breath freezes in my throat.

"You will be my saviour." A harsh gravelly voice growls in my ear, my limbs start shaking in terror, i feel Aeliana stir in my mind, she had been silent in the Nether, terrified of that place, now she is scared for a whole other reason

Movement behind me has my heart freaking out, i feel the man step infront of me, somehow i can make out a pale golden glow in his eyes but the rest of him i cannot see, the place is void of light.
