Chapter 4: Just rest

————————YOUR POV——————————
I shot up in my bed, gasping. "what the fuck happened?!" I blurted. I looked to my side and saw Jeff who was half asleep on a chair. I went to get up but than a sharp pain shot up my back causing me almost scream before I covered my mouth. I could tell I woke up Jeff because I felt a hand on my shoulder, "are you ok?" he mumbled tiredly.
I grabbed his arm with my hand because of the pain and than he carefully lowered me back down onto my bed. He looked at me, "yeah that's gonna hurt for a long time"
'what is?' I thought. I could barley remember what happened, "what happened?" I asked
"you got hurt, there's some people that we aren't exactly friendly with, and I guess they saw you and thought you were the perfect target" he explained.
I was so confused, I didn't remember any of that happening, I barley even remember what the people had looked like. I didn't want to stay in bed all day, i wanted to be able to go out into the living room and hang out with everybody. "can I go into the living room?" I asked.
"yeah" he said while standing up to help me
I sat up while the pain rose from my lower back up to my shoulders, I tried to ignore it and stood up. Jeff went to help me but I moved away, "I can walk there"
"are you sure? you got hurt pretty bad" he asked
"yeah i'm sure" I said walking to my door. I could tell I wasn't walking in a straight line but it didn't really matter much, I slowly walked up to my door and opened it. I paused at my door and leaned against it as I tensed up, Jeff ran up to me and put his hand on my shoulder, "please let me help you y/n"
"I'm fine, I can do it. I I have to i ignore the pain!" I insisted.
"y/n please" He urged.
"n no, I'm fi-" the pain fully hit me and it felt like I was being stabbed right in the center of my back, I screamed from the pain as I turned to him and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back but kept his arms by my shoulders so it wouldn't cause anymore pain. He than slowly broke the hug to bring me back to my bed, I didn't fight against it because I had no more energy to do so. He carefully sat me down on my bed and put a pillow behind my back so the bed frame wouldn't hurt, I squinted and he rubbed my non-hurt arm gently.
————BENS POV————
I was playing my video game until I heard a scream come from y/n room. I paused my game and went over to her room to see what was going on, I leaned against the door frame, "is she ok?" I asked.
"Yeah she just tried to walk into the living room and all of the pain got to her" Jeff said
"Later on if your feeling up to it you can come and play videos games with me y/n, I'd like to see if you could beat me" I said
She looked over at me and lightly smiled, "thanks"
"no problem" I said as I left the room and walked back into the living room. I unpaused my game and went right back to racing this other dude who couldn't even stay on the road. he kept fucking swerving onto the grass. "you dumbass!" I screamed.
