What Could Go Wrong? (Pokémon Alternative)

------#Chapter 18------

"Pokeball, go!" I shouted. The pokeball touched the pokemon's head and it was absorbed inside. Greninja caught the pokeball and the pokeball was not shaking, meaning I caught it. Freezing a pokemon can make it easy to catch. Greninja tossed the pokeball toward me and I caught it.

"Come out, Tentacruel."

The pokemon was released from its pokeball and I really thought that we were going to get along easily but Tentacruel just keeps leering at me. I returned the massive pokemon back to its pokeball.

"We should get going guys," I said. All of my pokemon were floating beside me and I returned all of them except for Greninja and Blastoise. "Let's go partners."

"Gren- Greninja."I looked at Greninja who was crossing his arms.

"Oh yeah. We are lost."I announced. Oh, fuck my life.

"Ash!" I looked in the direction of the voice. Sure enough, it was Lusamine."I'm glad we noticed that huge Tentacruel or else we would have never found you." She said as her Dragonite started to descend.

"Thank you Ms.Lusamine," I sincerely said."I am now indebted to you for your kindness." I said. I grabbed her hand and she lifted me up to the back of her Dragonite. I returned Blastoise and Greninja to their Pokeballs and Dragonite started to fly toward the big cruise.

"Oh it's nothing, "She smiled. "Take it as a thank you for being a friend to Lillie. She talked about you a lot and it made me happy because she can talk to me normally again, though half of our conversation is about you, Mr. Ketchum." She grinned.

"I'm deeply sorry about that, Ms. Lusamine." I sighed.

"Don't be, Ash. As I said, thanks to you she can talk to me again normally." She smiled.

We started to descend to the helicopter pad and I was warmly welcomed by the staff. I guess I'm the first one to arrive here. Did the others make it back safely?

"Ms. Lusamine," I called as she put on her glasses. "What happened to Lillie and the others? Did they make it back to the ship safely?"

"Oh, yes. Thanks to you, they went back without a scratch. Though they will take a day to get here. I must say, how did you end up near us?" She asked.

"Honestly, I don't know either," I said as I took the towel offered by the staff. "I just fought with Tentacruel and now I'm here with you."

"Hm," She mumbled. "Moving on, that was a great discovery you guys just found. We never thought we would have encountered the lost city of Atlantis!" She clapped her hands.

"Yeah us too. We just noticed something odd underneath us and after that, we were inside Atlantis. The light coming from the bottom of the ocean must have been a coincidence. It was a pearl that only reflects light coming from above, meaning there was a flash of light coming from our ship." I said.

"Yeah, there are lights at the bottom of the ship but there may be other things that could have made the pearl shine that strong." She said. Now that she said that, I felt so stupid. "It's fine Ash. Anyways, we better report to them about your situation. Your sister must be worried."

"I think she will be pretty glad to find me in a coma."

After talking to my group, I was dropped off in our room. This place is massive. A freaking man-built island in the middle of an ocean. I think it's called the Aether Paradise. Anyways, the room I was talking about is actually the living room with a total of 5 more rooms. I and Luna are of course sharing a room but I really wished I'm in a separate one because I can't handle her loud-ass alarm that can wake up the whole world. Anyways, each room has its own bathroom and all five of them are connected through the balcony.

I went inside our room, still dripping wet, and went inside the bathroom and took a shower. After that, I called the staff and returned the diving gear I received. Of course, my backpack was left on the cruise so I was given spare clothes that the Aether staff usually wears but I don't have the unusual big pockets on the sides. It looks cool but I don't think white really suits my style. I guess I can train my Pokemon-

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Or not." 

I went out to the living room and opened the door. I was greeted by a man wearing a lab coat.

"Good Afternoon, Mr. Ketchum. My name is Faba, I was sent to escort you to Ms. Lusamine." The guy named Faba said. He must be one of the admins here at Aether Foundation.

"Thank you, Sir Faba," I said. He smiled and as he said, he led me to Ms. Lusamine's office. I still can't help myself be amazed by how big this place is.

"Ms. Lusamine." Admin Faba said as he knocked twice on the door.

"Come in!"

[Luna]

"I'm glad Ash is safe," Lillie announced with a sigh.

"It would have been cool if he was in a coma." I laughed. Of course, it's reassuring to learn that my brother is safe but he's just so reckless that putting him in a coma will be the best solution to stop him from dying.

"I agree." Paul followed.

"Anyways, what are going to do now? Should we go explore Atlantis tomorrow?" Gary asked.

"But aren't we supposed to be at Aether Paradise tomorrow afternoon?" Dawn pointed out. True, but now I want to explore Atlantis. Maybe later tonight?

"What about tonight?" I suggested.

"That's the worst advice I have ever heard, " Gary said. "We could barely see anything down there during the day, and there might be wild Pokemons just like that Tentacruel."

"I think we can delay our trip for one day," Mr. Hobes announced. "Ms. Lusamine also wants to explore Atlantis tomorrow and I think your group will do fine, as you have already been down there."

"Awesome!"Dawn shouted with stars in her eyes.

"Please report to Ms. Lusamine that we volunteer to explore Atlantis, " I said. "And because Ash is not here, I will be the one to be leading this group."

"How come?!" Gary exclaimed.

"Well, I will be the next one to be promoted Gare-Bear," I smirked.

"That's not fair." He said.

"How so? You always cause trouble more than Drew you know?" I said back.

"Shut up." He rolled his eyes in defeat.

[Kalos]

"Princess!" Someone called. I told her to come in and she was as pale as a ghost. Oh, dear.

"What's the problem, Elly?" I asked.

"Well," She took a deep breath and started panting again. "We just got a notice from the President of Aether that they discovered Atlantis. Sir Ash was the one leading the team."

My eyes lit up in excitement, "That's great news! Did mother hear this already?" I asked.

"Yes, and she's sending a group of researchers to help Aether search the Atlantis," Elly said.

Ash is there. I must go. Those were the words that keeps popping into my head. I know it's not the right time, but I must see Ash.

"Can you ask my mother to let me go with the team she's going to send? I need to go there and talk to someone." I said.

"If that is what you want, Princess." She said before leaving the room.

How many years has it been since the last time I see him personally? Ash, wait for my surprise. Oh, I need a disguise. I can't be seen by the others, they will literally kill me. I let out a small smile, thinking of our little reunion only to be beaten up by my friends. It's not their fault for not knowing the truth, it's just that there is no other ways to execute the plan.
