To start off, hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of Inertia! NOTE: This story is NOT a continuation of the first chapter. Again, these are 15 individual stories. Just a reminder.
How are you guys doing amidst this COVID-19 conflict, especially your mental health? Even though it may be considered as a minor problem through this pandemic, I hope you guys are doing okay mentally and emotionally. My inbox is always open if you want to talk. Big uwu.
Anyway, shall we begin this one? This one will be in Y/N's POV, so enjoy maybe? See ya!

I love reading fan fictions, and it's even more enjoyable reading fan fictions about yourself. I used to write my own, and now here I am on Wattpad, reading fan fictions about me and my secret Smosh crush: Damien.
When I met Damien, of course, it was casual and very professional, but the fangirl in me squealed like crazy. I couldn't believe that I was actually going to be working with my crush in my dream job for a long period of time. Eventually, the said period of time passed, and I've been working at Smosh for two years. Two long years of content creation and two long years of creating my own content (my satisfaction, that is). Did you get that?
But anyway, the scary thing about going from a fan fiction writer to a fan fiction reader to a fan fiction character is the fact when every little romantic trope you read about in short drabbles actually comes true. That is extremely terrifying, and I was completely unaware of that until the evening of January 23, 2022.
What happened last January 23, 2022, you ask? Well, buckle your seatbelts. This is gonna be one heck of a ride.
For the first time in years, Smosh had finally done another Smosh Winter Games after consistent public demand. Since it was impossible to shoot Winter Games in possibly the hottest place in the universe (Los Angeles), we had to do a lot of stuff to shoot Winter Games in a nearby snowy mountain. We hired a lot of people to ensure our safety, teach us how to freaking ski (which I can barely understand, by the way), and well, keep us alive. I wasn't used to the cold, but it was sure damn nice to be in a cold place for once. When you grow up in a place that barely has snow, well, you fall in love with snow.
That was my mistake.
We had just finished the second day of shooting, and thankfully, the area surrounding the mountain had many inns for us to stay at. The innkeepers were very hospitable and they didn't mind the ruckus at all. Apparently, we were the largest number of people they've gotten for a long time, especially because Smosh has a lot of crew members and we also hired other people like I said earlier. In short, we were hella booked, and we knew that we had to make this one as good as it can get, because we had to earn back everything we spent AND also earn back our own salaries. It was tough.
Thankfully, I was roomed with the delightful Mari Takahashi, who taught me a whole lot of stuff about snow. I was clueless, but I was fascinated how snow was basically kind of like unclear ice. Pretty freaking genius.
"You know, Ian said we could leave the inn as long as we were nearby," she tells me as she sips from her coffee. "Honestly, I'm not taking my chances, but if you wanna go, go for it."
"I feel like a little kid, sorry," I tell her, chuckling before looking outside the window. "Yeah, I'll do that. I'll be back by sundown."
That was a lie. Unintentional lie. You'll see why.
I exit the inn and walk around the area with my phone and some cash just in case I felt like going to the nearby grocery store. It was a bit snowy, and the snow wasn't heavy enough for me. I sat by the front porch of the inn, and just before I was about to stand up to go back inside, I hear the door open.

FanficFirst: an object in motion stays in motion and an object at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Damien Haas had to learn that lesson the hard way, that it only takes an outside force to change his life around, this outside f...
