Chapter 23

Thursday 28th

Todoroki happened to be the first one to awake this morning and he looked around sleepily at his class who were completed out all over the common room. He headed towards his room for a shower and when he returned downstairs, Iida awoke as well.

The two casually talked about the class and the two headed into the kitchen together after deciding to help make everyone breakfast.

Momo was next to wake up naturally but she accidentally woke up Jiro, who was clinging to her waist, and that in turn woke up Mina, Kirishima, Denki and Shinsuo who all kind of flopped together in that area.

Sighing, Shinsuo got up and rubbed his dark circles before getting himself a coffee.

Slowly, the rest of the class also woke up and started to get ready for whatever they were doing that day.

Bakugou and Izuku both were still sound asleep, their breathing consisted of cute rhythmic sighs and no one had it in then to wake then up, but also the fact that Izuku looked too peaceful and Bakugou could kill them by accident.

It was already afternoon when Izuku woke up and his movements woke up Bakugou too. They happily smiled at each other before Bakugou got up and stretched his tired limbs.

It was halfway through their basically evening breakfast when Izuku remembered that he missed the meteor shower and was clearly upset over it.

Bakugou saw this and sighed. But it wasn't like they have anything to do later anyway so Bakugou told Izuku to stay in the dorms as he went upstairs, changed, and went outside.

It was almost two hour later when Bakugou ran back in huffing with a bag in his arms and he went into the kitchen and disappeared again.

And after 20 minutes, the red faced boom boy huffed out the kitchen with a tray which he left by the counter and disappeared up the stairs.

Confused, Izuku sat in his wheelchair by sofa talking to Mina who happened to be there about romance when Bakugou came crashing back down almost another hour later with a triumphant smirk on his face.

Blushing a little from Mina's teasing, he was told he was getting a surprise so he closed his eyes and the wheelchair shot forward towards the lift. He heard Aizawa's voice and a couple beeps and the lift started to rise...

Up...up...up...up?... What?

There were no more floors past the top...

Ping! The door opened and a cool evening air ruffled his hair and Izuku opened his eyes to see high across the city.

UA was already at the top of the tallest mountain overlooking the city but being on the roof and looking into the forest and city that's further was absolutely breathtaking.

There were no railings on the edge and Izuku expected it to be dirty but there was a large clean area right at the best spot to view and it was covered in weighted blankets and heavy cushions.

Shocked speechless with awe, Izuku didn't really comprehend what was going on as he was lifted up and sat down onto the blankets.

Bakugou then sat next to him and leaned over to grab a tray and revealed that underneath was a plate of Izuku's favourite biscuits and sweets.

They sat back and chatted idly as they waited for the sunset to disappear and stars to shine and sure enough, the cold air had started to blow.

They sat on the roof watching dark purple streaks cover the sky and the stars started to glitter their view.

Hot chocolate was in the flask next to Bakugou and he poured the sweet drink into a mug and handed it over to Izuku. The drink warmed him up inside and he shivered slightly against the breeze, cuddling into the blankets as he gazed up blinking, waiting for the shower to start.

Bakugou wasn't particularly cold but it wasn't technically the sky that had caught his attention. Instead, it was the reflection of the glittering stars in Izuku's large viridian eyes that made him hold his breath. The shimmering had caught his attention in the moonlight before, exactly a month ago in the hospital.

But back then, he had to leave before the gates of UA shut and he didn't have time but now...he stared at Izuku trying to figure out why he was so drawn in.

It was like back in that art class, where he ended up just getting lost in those eyes. They were just so... beautiful...

Pausing, Bakugou shook his head in confusion. That was not how he expected to describe the nerd!

But...

He focused on other aspects instead but it didn't really help. In fact, it made it worse.

From Izuku's slightly pink button nose to those small ears poking out from underneath the mass of fluffy green back hair. To the perfectly smooth jawline to the soft looking lips...

He blushed as his eyes rested on the lips and flustered, he got up and sat behind Izuku, cuddling him from behind and resting his chin in the fluffy hair.

It was Izuku's turn to be flustered as Mina's previous teasing had not settled down.

"K-k-kacchan?"

Izuku was bright red as he turned to face Bakugou but that only for his eyes widen as he realised how close their faces were.

Turning back around, he started muttering. "I'm sorry Kacchan, I was just a little flustered y'know? Your holding me a little close and yeah I just got a few wrong thoughts and a few hopes, OH but it's nothing important don't worry-"

This confused Bakugou as he gently pinched the boys chin to turn his head to face his.

"What's wrong Deku? And what do you mean close? We do this every night? And hopes? What's wrong?"

Except now Izuku had gone completely silent, mouth open from being slightly overwhelmed as he locked eyes with those sparking red ones that made the sky in his eyes seem to burn in a hot passion.

They both then realized their position and Izuku with flustered and Bakugou in a fluster of heated confusion, the two couldn't move as they stared at each other.

The stars above then started to fall and their eyes tore away from each other to focus on the sky above. Their hearts both beating in a panic as they tried to concentrate on the shower.

But neither of them could over their pumping hearts that thumped loudly against each other as Izuku lay back in Bakugou's arms.
