"Boom!"
All of sudden there were more bolts of ligthing than there were there before.
Summer peaked out of the window, watching at the storm seemed to be attracted to the mountaintop. The lighting stopped hitting the peaks and started to focus on something else that she couldnt see. She hoped Aggro and Cutter were ok and have found somewhere safe.
"Everything all right sum?" Leyla came over and asked.
"Yea, just wondering of Cutter and Aggro are doing well..." She said and pulled her head out of the window, she closed the shutters, blocking up the window.
Parrot was training with Dak and Winger inside, so far he was doing excelletn, he only missed once, and that was when he had to hit ten targets at once! That was pretty advance, but yet it was to be expected froma more wild and dangerous dragon like a Deadly Nadder.
"Everything will be alright." Leyla said and sat down next to Summer. Sumer smiled and sat down as well. After all, what could go wrong?
---------
Cutter was riding the storm, his scales were prickling and his arms were hurting. He hadn't used his powers in a long time and it felt new and unsteady to him. He could shoot lightnign and rider it but not very good and he could only store lightning for a very short time.
He should be molting at any minute now, he just needed a really powerful lightning strike, he decided to fly higher and higher until he was soaring deep withing the thunder clouds. Lighning here was powerful and there were many bolts.
Lightning struck his horns several times in a row, and Cutter tried to hold steady in flight. He saw a larger bolt brewing and he zipped towards it.
It struck him, fierce and hot, his vision went blurry and the voltages whipped up through his scales. The world sarted to go dark.
---------
Aggro was watching anxiously from a cliff edge, peering at the raging storm above her. Lightning flahsed towards a central point. The bolt got lower and lower as a meduim-sized dark gray and shiny orange shape decended from the dark clouds.
"Cutter?" Aggro called, inching close to the edge.
A dark colored dragon landed beside her. She jumped and swerved around, growling, but then regonized him.
Cutter's wings were stronger and bigger, a curved Skirll-like claw sat on top of them now. They were resting on the ground and his back legs looke stronger too. His tail was longer but the sharp spike at the end of it remained the same. Cutter looked more Skrill now then ever.
She ran over and hugged him. He hugged her back. Everything seemed right for now.
---------
The storm was over and Cutter and Aggro came back and told the other Rescue Riders and Parrot everything.
Leyla was distraught that all her facts about Razorwings that she gotten from Cutter were wrong. Cutter just put on a toothy grin and said sorry.
"Hybrid or not. We still don't have a chance." Parrot said.
"Are you still worried about the BoulderDeath thing?" Winger walked over and asked.
"Yes! All of you should be worried! Very worried!" Parrot fretted and hopped around, squawking.
Dak and Leyla got him settled down. "We can't panic, remeber." Summer said and flicked her tail.
"I'm not worried, I feel great!" Cutter siad and did a flip in the air, electricty sparked around his horns and along his spikes. Aggro smiled up at him, she flew up and copied him. They smiled at eachother.
"For now let's all calm down." Winger said, gesturing with his wings.
The Rescue Riders got Parrot feeling better and settle down to sleep themselves. Unknown to them someone was watching.
A pure white Lightfury was was stained with blood peered through the window, more Lightfury's in the same state were behind him. Hesmiled evily and turned to the others, whispering, "These dragons will make a great sacrafice for BoulderDeath."
"How do know she'll like it? There are only six dragons in there..." One of the bloodied Lightfurys questioned him.
He frowned and looked at her like she was stupid, "It's not all. We just need to lure Grumblegard here as well. Don't forgot thiers an Ironclaw and Slinkwing family living here too."
"Is that all?" She asked, her blue eyes narrowing.
"Of course not. We need to make a good first impression. We'll convince the nearest dragon group to host thier Dragon Games here in Huttsgslor. Dragons from all around will come. It's perfetc." The Lightfury said and took to the air.
The other Lightfurys, eyes flashing pink, red, blue, and yellow, follwoed him into the cloud-strung nightsky, ready to start unfolding thier plan.
