Harry handed me a cup of coffee that they bought from the café. Jay was sound asleep as we sat around his bed in his hotel room. When we rushed Jay to hospital last night they treated his wounds and his private nurse was sent with us back to the hotel. Jay didn’t strike me as too much of a wealthy person so I was surprised that he already had a private nurse.

He was given strong sedatives so I slept on the couch in his room. The boys insisted they’d stay with me because they understood how traumatic it was. I smiled at them while taking a sip of my drink. “How are you all feeling? Especially you, Liam?” Last night was just a mess of confusion. I felt bad for not caring enough for Liam. “Fine.” They smiled back. The mood was somber but yet we all appreciated each other’s presence. “What did the nurse say?” Liam asked referring to Jay.

Yesterday was a major step for the boys and Jay. They opened up to each other by telling their guy jokes and of course making fun of me. There was a definite friendship between them now. “She said that he should wake up soon but he’ll be in a lot of pain. He sprained his wrist and has a few bruises on his torso but luckily he hasn’t broken anything.” I reluctantly reached out to hold his hand which was soft and warm. I didn’t want to wake him. His eyes we puffy, swollen and red but yet he still looked perfect. His lips, curved ever so slightly, had soft tones of pink and light bruises. His dark hair was brushing his long lashes. The beams of sunlight from his window highlighted his jawline and cheekbones. His face was tainted with beauty and innocence.

“I feel horrid after what happened yesterday. We just get close to the guy and then this happens.” Niall sighed. “I should’ve stepped in not him.” Harry looked down at his feet. “Hey, you’re a lover not a fighter, remember?” I laughed quietly making them do the same. “Besides it’s all my fault anyway. If I hadn’t been so stupid, none of this would have happened.” Why did I have to go and prove a stupid point? I put myself, Jay and even the boys in danger. “Stop saying that! It’s not your fault. No one would have thought something like this would’ve happened.” Liam rubbed my arm reassuringly. “It really isn’t your fault. But it took a lot of courage for Jay to take a punch at that idiot who messed with you. Louis smiled towards Jay. “Yeah. I think we judged him too quickly he is actually a great guy.” Zayn did the same.

“So you guys like him now?” I giggled. “Well I wouldn’t say like but…hey is he smiling?” Harry stopped mid-sentenced smirking at Jay, who had the same expression. “Hey are you listening to us?” I tapped his shoulder, laughing. “Well you do tend to talk loudly.” He smiled slowly opening his eyes. “How much did you hear?” I grinned. “Not much, just that if it means anything, I like you guys too.” He laughed causing us to laugh as well.

“I’m so glad you’re okay.” I said more on a serious note. “Are you guys all fine?” Typical Jay, he should never be the one who everyone’s concerned about instead he’s concerned about us. “We’re fine.” We said in unison. I think we’ve been asked that question at least 100 times. “By the way thanks Liam and of course the rest of you for taking me to the hospital. Did you guys stay here all night?” He asked. “You’re welcome and um don’t think we’re stalkers but Dee wanted to stay with you and we were worried about her so yea we did.” Liam laughed. “Thank you guys so much. You all slept on couches for me? I feel terrible.” Jay frowned. “It’s fine, my back still hurts, but it’s fine.” Lou laughed. “You really didn’t have to.” Jay said holding my hand a little tighter. “I wanted to. Are you in a lot of pain?” He nodded as the nurse came in.
