So I introduced the lads to Jay and his friends and Jay introduced his friends to us. The guy with blonde hair and green eyes was Austin and the guy with the brown hair and chocolate eyes was Chase. They then called two guys strolling on the beach to play with them so they could even the odds.

So the game kicked off and my team was surprisingly better than anticipated. The first score was made by Louis. We had agreed earlier that we'd play 'first to ten wins'. We were neck and neck, but finally I was the one who made the final score. The boys cheered and I laughed along with them.

Jay walked over to us, running his fingers through his hair. "So since I let you win, do you think we could be friends?" A smirk creeping on his face. "You let me win?" I question, mimicking his face and taking the ball back from him. "My team won fair and square." I say, twirling the ball on the tip of my index finger. This was probably the only trick I knew so might as well show it off.

"If you say so," he shrugs, snatching the ball from me, yet again. "Way to stamp on my parade, Jay!" I think to myself as he does this. "So can we?" He asks. "Can we what?" Woah, for a second I was lost in his eyes. "Can I call you Dee?" He laughs. "I don't know, you kinda have to earn the right to call me that." I say playfully.

"Alright, how about you meet me for a drink at the pool deck, tonight after dinner?" He grins. "Sounds like I plan." I winked. "Alright see you then." He smiled. I smiled and started walking away towards the lads. He walked away to his friends, as I took one last glance at him. "Yay! Oh my gosh!" I squealed due to my excitement about Jay. The boys didn't seem to amused and rolled their eyes. "What?" I asked concerned about their aggression. "Listen Dee, I just do- I mean, we just don't think that this Jay guy is right for you." Liam said quite softly.

"Guys, what's so bad about him? He seems like a nice guy." I found myself smiling at their protectiveness and concern once again. "If you say so!" Zayn let out a bitter laugh as he sped up his pace, walking into the room. I was taken aback by this. He seemed genuinely angry. "Za-" I tried to call but was cut off by Louis. "Just give him some time, I think he's a little tired." Lou said holding my shoulder. I nodded my head and followed Zayn's lead into the room.

We then each took a shower and got ready for dinner. It wasn't really cold so I decided to wear my white high-waisted shorts and my sliver crop-top. My hair was up in a bun and once I was satisfied with the little make-up I applied, I stepped out of the bathroom. I saw the lads all lying on their bed and Harry putting on his shoes. They looked up at me and smiled.

"So are we ready to go?" I asked. "We were waiting for you." Harry laughs standing up as the rest follow his lead. "Yeah, let's go I'm starving" Niall said holding his tummy. We all laughed at this. "Typical Niall" I thought as we walked towards the corridor. We went down to dinner and everything seemed fine.

I think both Zayn and I just brushed off that spat, but I still wanted to know if he was okay. We had finished eating and I had to remind the boys that I had to go. "Aright guys, I'm done so I guess I should get going." I said quite awkwardly.

I wanted a sign of approval from them.

But instead I got, "oh yes, don't wanna keep prince charming waiting, now do we?" Lou said with a smug smile on his face. I laughed as the boys got up from their seats. "Yeah, I think we'll head to the game room or something." Liam suggested. "Yea sure." Niall agreed and the rest nodded. "Okay well have fun guys!" I said briefly hugging them. "Yeah hope you don't!" Louis teased, I laughed at this. Zayn was the last one I hugged. As he walked away, I tugged his wrist.

"Zayn?" I questioned as he turned around. "Yeah?" He smiled. "Um I, uh, I just wanted to know if you're okay?" I asked. "Yea I'm fine. Don't worry." He said. "You sure beca-" I was cut off by him. "Look if this is about the whole thing before don't worry about it. I was just tired that's all." He smiled. "Oh okay." I laughed as a sign of my relief. "Enjoy babe." He kissed my cheek and walked away.

I then made my way to the pool deck and I saw Jay sitting at the bar. "Hey!" I said behind him. He turned around on his seat. "Wow. You look amazing." He says standing up, pecking me on the cheek.

His scent is intoxicating...

I take a seat next to him. The scene was so romantic. The wooden stools, and the grass-roof of the bar from which little fairy lights had been hung. From where we sat, we had a perfect view of the ocean. "I thought you weren't coming." He laughs as I stare at him in awe of his perfection.

Get yourself together Dee!

I think to myself as I figure out the words to respond. "Why'd you think that? I'd never miss an opportunity to see you." I giggle. "Oh really? And why is that?" He questions, smirking

Uh-oh,

uh well I can't tell him its because he's amazingly gorgeous and ever since the first time I saw him, its hard for me to even choke out a couple words because his eyes are too distracting.

"Um you're a nice guy..." I trail off, awkwardly. He laughs at this, "Fair enough. So can I get you something to drink?" "I'll have a cola please?" I smile. "Not the alcohol type?" He asks. "No, not really." I giggle, nervously. I'm not even sure why I'm nervous. "I respect that." He says, ordering two colas for the both of us.

"So tell me something about yourself Jay?" I ask, sipping my drink. "Well um there's not much to tell. I'm just a 19 year old guy, on holiday. You know just taking a break to chill." He says. "Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I'm here for that exact same thing, just taking a break from work. Probably get fired when I go back home." I laugh. "And why is that?" He laughs too. "Well I didn't really tell my boss that I was leaving for a while so..." I shrug.

"So when you go back you'll be begging for your job back?" He says laughing again. "Well I wouldn't call it begging." I smirk as he raises an eyebrow. "I'd call it more persuading." I laugh too. "Well are you a persuasive person?" He asks. "Yea. You could call me that." I genuinely find myself being happy now and way less awkward.

"Well I'm also a persuasive person." He says, casually taking a sip of his drink. "Oh really?" I tease. By this time we were facing each other directly. "Yeah. I bet I could persuade you to kiss me." He tilts his head to the side but yet suddenly becoming serious. My smile fades, not out of anger or anything. Just out of the intensity of the situation.

A cool breeze swept by which gave him the opportunity place a few misplaced strands of hair behind my ear. I stared into his eyes becoming mesmerized by how I could see the reflection of the beach as well as the twinkling lights in them. Before I knew it my eyes were shutting and we were both leaning in,

Until...

"What was that?!" He says, turning to the plants around the edge of the pool, where we heard a ruffling noise a few seconds ago.
