NOVEMBER PLOPPED onto her bed with a big smile plastered on her face that Friday night as her fellow year 10 teammates piled into their dormitory. Their first game made all nine of them ecstatic as they had won by a good two points.

"Dani if you didn't make that save after that girl faked me out," Morgan thanked as she placed a gleeful hand on Danielle's shoulder, "we would probably be in deep shit right now"

"Hey watch it!" Kristi laughed out as she slapped the back of Morgan's head and walked past.

"Yeah Morgan!" Tilly and Tevi said simultaneously, "watch it"

Danielle made her way to her bed and chuckled. "Geez, Tills, you seem more related to Tevi than Eva is- and they're twins."

"Unfortunately" Eva mumbled under her breath as she closed the door behind her, being the last to walk into the room.

Evangeline rolled her eyes upon seeing Tevi and Tilly smirking at her as they comfortably laid on her bed. With a glare, she made her way to Nova and just sat there.

"So what are we doing tomorrow?" November piped up, "saying as its finally Saturday"

"Well," Kristi trailed as she walked out of the bathroom as she fixed her post game hair, "we have that essay Professor Larse assigned"

With a bored expression, everyone just looked at the grade obsessed girl as Brianna threw one of the pillows at her. "It's the weekend, chill!"

"Yeah Kris," Morgan chuckled, "let's go to shopping and or something"

"Shopping!" Brianna gasped; or more of squealed as she squirmed in her spot, "I think so!"

Eva, Danielle, and Nova all exchanged agreeable glances before nodding. "We're in" The English brunette shrugged.

Danielle the stood up from her bed and sat in front of where Eva and Nova sat beside one another. "Aren't you going to call Connie?" Dani asked, making the lightbulb in November's mind light up.

"Right!" Nova chimed, "she said something about a dinner she had to go to tonight... she's probably getting ready"

"It's only three in Minnesota?" Dani chuckled as she drew her eyebrows together, however, November just shot her a knowing look.

"Yes but it's Connie.." Nova breathed out as she stood up and made her way to where the phone hung. In an instant, both Danielle and Eva understood what November meant by that. The Minnesotan girl was the type to get ready three hours before an event and when Danielle and November had told Evangeline about everything, the first person Connie Moreau had reminded her of was herself.

November stood patiently as she awaited the glee-filled voice Connie radiated. Really, Nova couldn't help but pipe up when she heard the enthusiastic, 'Hi Nova!' Phrase come through the phone.

"Hey, Con," Nova chuckled, "guess what?"

"You won your game?" Connie didn't need November to say anything to know that the girl had been vigorously nodding her head in happiness, "that's great! What- No! Julie wear the shoes! Please!"

November furrowed her eyebrows while Connie got sidetracked from their conversation. Nova really did try to withhold her laughter when she heard Julie yell, 'Connie I'm wearing flats, don't push me!'. It couldn't help but made her feel slightly homesick.

"November- ow Connie- Nova!" She heard Julie's struggling voice say through the phone, "please make Connie stop"

November chuckled at Julie's endeavour to get Connie literally off her back. As much as November wanted to help the girl, a playful and slightly evil smirk played on her lips. "Sorry Jules," Nova shrugged, "I've had to deal with her for eight years, its your turn"

"I hate you." Julie huffed out with a bit of playfulness laced in her voice

"You love me, Gaffney," Nova smiled, "admit it"

"Just as much as Adam loves you."

November felt an instant sting at her heart as Julie's playful remark had come out as something else. Nonetheless, The brunette forced a smile onto her lips as she tried to hide the croakyness the threatening tears would cause to her voice. "So not at all?" Nova chuckled forcefully, "ouch Jules, that really stings"

Julie just sighed and let out a laugh of disbelief. "No.. Trust me Nova, you have no idea how much of a compliment that was"

Before November could retort, she heard Connie slap the blonde girl before she scurried away from the phone. However, at the same time, November heard a knock come off from the door that she stood beside. As she held the phone to her ear, she turned to face her dorm mates and sent a pleading look to the first person she laid her eyes on. Kristin.

Willingly, the girl gave her a reassuring smile before going over to answer the door. At the moment, November couldn't say much to the two girls who were 3000 miles away as they messed around and foolishly fought with one another. So simply, Nova just fixated her attention towards where Kristi opened the door to reveal a familiar looking year 11 boy that made her dirty blonde friend swoon upon seeing.

"Kyle!" Kristi said one an alarmed panic, "what- what are you doing here?"

She watched as the upperclassman nervously scratched the back of his neck and shrugged. Nova took this time to examine his slightly blushing countenance as his blue eyes glanced to the floor. She had just noticed then how similar his appearance was to Adam's. However, she still found him quite different from the blond Minnesotan boy she missed greatly.

November tore her eyes away from where he stood as she turned to face the complete opposite direction. In an easy motion, her thoughts and attention diverted from the English football player. It would seem a shock at how easily she had gotten him off her mind. Simply, her thoughts just trailed to Adam as it always did. She really couldn't help it at this point and to say at the least, she was getting quite used to it. However, she didn't fail to notice one thing that had constantly occurred as each day passed.

Everyday, this unknown feeling would rise just as much as the pain did. Every time she thought she was getting used to it, it would just become stronger. As much as she wanted to just ignore it, she couldn't. Truly, November just had no clue about what was going on with her; just as much as she had no clue upon the piercing blue eyes that stared at the back of her head...
