ADAM BANKS' thoughts rendered him to not speak to anyone ever since the small scrimmage against Junior Varsity. The moment he calmed down from his fight with Charlie, not a peep came out of his mouth. The boy simply hoisted his bag up his shoulders before walking out of the locker room with his head hanging low.

He didn't know what he was doing that day. Actually, he really didn't think he even had anything planned; he just didn't want to go home.

Adam's mind blurred with thoughts as he made his way out onto the courtyard. The whether was cool that morning as grey clouds shrouded the sky. Nonetheless, Adam Banks still found himself making his way to a familiar pond he had grown up to know. He couldn't help himself from glancing up at the melted lake as swans, geese, and ducks floated along. Before he knew it, he began to find his seat on a familiar rock that brought him back to some simple but heartwarming memories.

So many important moments of Adam's life had happened at that pond; one being the first time he ever acknowledged November Collins. Seeing her grace the frozen lake as she acted as her own announcer, it was truly a memory that could be on reply in Adam's mind- no matter how long ago it was.

Adam Banks' thoughts, needs, and feelings all contradicted one another, hence the reason why he was confused and had no idea what was going on in his life. The boy really needed someone to talk to about it but the problem was, he didn't know what to say; in fact he didn't even really know what it was he wanted to talk about. To add on to that was the fact that, under unfortunate circumstances, the only person he truly wanted to speak to about the issue (or anything in that matter) was 3000 miles away. So at last resort, as the boy had just about reached his limits, he simply found his safe place to allow his thoughts to settle.

"Hey freshie.." Adam heard a familiar voice speak up as a shadow loomed over him. The boy glanced away from where his gaze was fixated upon where his feet dangled off the rock as his look met with the well known varsity goaltender.

Adam pursed his lips together into a small smile as he scooted to the side, offering a spot for the upperclassmen to sit. "Hey Scooter.." he mumbled before looking down at where he unconsciously twiddled his fingers.

With a comfortable sigh, Scooter willingly sat down in the seat beside the blond before silently glancing to him with an inquiring gaze. "You alright? You seem-" Scooter stopped and thought for a moment,
taking a precaution for the word he were to say.
"-different?"

The varsity freshman couldn't help but scoff as he rose his gaze to become fixated on the body of water ahead of them. "You just noticed that now.." Scooter gave him a quizzical gaze before Adam had caught his words and sighed. "I mean... sorry.. you wouldn't understand.."

The older brunette gave him a pointed look as he rose an eyebrow inquisitively. "I'm all ears if you need to talk about something.."

Adam stiffened for a moment as he clenched his jaw. The boy hesitated as the upperclassman beside him waited patiently. Nonetheless, he knew that he had to get things off his chest. He supposed Scooter would be a good person to talk to saying as he was really the only one there at the moment. After all, Adam was beginning to lose everything. He thought he may as well get comfortable with the one small friendship he had earned through this predicament.

"If I'll be honest..." Adam spoke up as he sucked a long breath of air, "I have no idea what's going on. I know what I want... I do- " Adam took a pause as drew his eyebrows together in deep thought. Did he know what he wanted? "-at least I think I do. I mean, I want to play hockey. That's what I want but I don't want to keep treating my friends like this... and- I don't know.. everything is a mess, man."
