Chapter 7

When we entered the house I almost couldn't believe my eyes. It was gorgeous. Kind of plain, but yet so detailed. It was indescribable how beautiful this house was. The golden spiral stair case went right over our heads as we stood in the entrance. I gasped. "Wow...it's so...gorgeous! It's the biggest, prettiest house I've ever seen!" AJ smiled. "Do you know that you say wow a lot?" I punched him softly in the arm. "Oh be quiet!" He laughed. He let go of my waist and started to walk up the long staircase. I followed right behind.

We went up into the first bedroom on the right side of the hall. AJ threw his shoes, socks, and shirt on the bed and went to the wardrobe. I did the same. He opened drawer after drawer until he found a pair of shorts about my size and a t-shirt that looked a little big for me. "Would this work do you think?" He raised an eyebrow and held up the clothes. I thought about it for a moment then nodded. "Okay, I know my clothes are okay, and I can just borrow Randy's if I really need to." I didn't feel right. Talking other people's clothes that I didn't even know. "Uh, AJ? I don't know about this. I mean I don't even know who's clothes I'm taking." He smirked. "You're taking Randy's little sister's clothes. She's a year younger than us and Randy's a year older then us." I stared into his bright eyes. "Yeah, but how do you even know them? Do they go to our school?" He nodded. "Yes they do. And me and Randy go way back. Don't worry about it! He said I can use anything I need." I rolled my eyes. "But AJ...I just don't know..." Then my thoughts were interrupted by a pair of soft, warm lips that I was oh so comfortable with now, then he stared at me again. "It's fine. Just go in that bathroom and put those clothes on, okay? You're worrying too much." I still wasn't really comfortable doing this but I nodded.

He pointed me to the bathroom across the bedroom. I quickly changed and put my clothes back where my shoes and socks were. "Okay, I'm ready." I looked at AJ who was relaxing on the bed. He jumped up and clapped his hands. "Okay, let's go!" I laughed. Oh AJ...you're such a child.

We ran down the stairs and out of the sliding glass doors, onto the deck that looked to the water. Then we jumped off the deck and ran towards the water. In so many ways AJ can make me feel like I'm twenty five years old and married, or he could make me feel like I'm six again. The different emotions he could make me feel were endless. We stopped once we met the water, and looked at each other. AJ reached out toward my hand and pulled me into his perfect six pack abs. "You're so perfect, Amber. I feel like I've known you since I was born." AJ whispered. I scoffed. "Yeah right. I'm probably the most boring person on the planet! And why are you saying I'm perfect? I'm not even close. You should be saying that about yourself. From the minute I met you I was falling for you, do you know that?" I asked him. I felt his stomach vibrate against my ear because of his laugh. "Do you know that I was falling for you?" He threw back. I sighed. I wish this night could last forever. How could I have let this happen? Here I don't even really talk or know the guy and I'm already letting him in? Like I've known him my whole life.

AJ pulled away and took my hand. He towed me into the water, once again. I laughed. I felt the warm water against my ankles. "You shouldn't have to get that wet. The water here is so shallow for a long ways out." I smiled. "Kind of sounds like my beach in the Bahamas." He chuckled. We went deeper and deeper into the water. The water traveled up from my ankles all the way to the middle of my thigh. The bottom of my shorts started getting wet. I looked up at AJ, who was standing a few feet away from me with water up to his bellybutton. He turned around and motioned for me to come. Oh, I didn't want to get wet. I walked out farther and farther until the water was up to my bellybutton too. I looked back at the house and it was probably a good fifty yards away. AJ grabbed my hand and I spun around. We walked out farther and farther and the water came up farther and farther.

All of the sudden the sand just stopped under us and dropped down probably seven feet. We could see the bottom but it was pretty far down. It kind of reminded me of a really deep pool. AJ looked down at me to see if I'd react at all. "Are we swimming in that?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. "Me and Randy would always come and swim here. It's kind of like a big swimming pool because the water's so clean around this area." I nodded. At least it wasn't that cold out.
