"Love?" Pink started creeping in your cheeks. This was one of the few words you thought you wouldn't hear from the man. Holding the omamori by its handle, your lips curled upward at the mental picture of Giyu picking it out. "And how on earth did you think of buying this?"
Staring at his ripped uniform, he grabbed his haori and wore it to show less skin. Somehow you wished he hadn't done that. The sight of his torso always made you giddy. One that you would never get tired of seeing. If only you could get your ha- shaking the thoughts away, you waited for his response.
"I heard that you can give those to people. You can wish for them to have a happy... love life." Giyu's face cringed at his sentence. Those were words he never thought he'd say out loud. Especially to the person who made his heart go run laps. "I have one as well."
Taking it out from his pocket, he showed you a blue omamori. Similar to the one you had. Smirking at him, you placed the pair side by side. The sides of your palms brushing with his. As Giyu stared at the two charms, your eyes were focused somewhere else.
For 6 months, you had zero contact with the person sitting next to you. Now, both of you were sitting side by side. Sure, there was a bit of tension a while ago but now that things were going back on track it all felt like a dream. One where you wouldn't mind not waking up to. As long as your eyes could feast on this man, you were perfectly fine.
"Why don't you wash up? I'm hungry and our bonding is never complete without food." You said as you tucked the charm into your pocket.
"Okay."
His one word sentences were back and you let out a small giggle. Tilting his head, he looked at you with confusion as to what he had said to make you laugh. Not that he bothered though, the face that you were giggling was simply music to his ears.
"Wear something nice." You told him before he slid your doors to wash up.
Wear something nice? How stupid could you get? You were the one who had no change of clothes. The only articles of clothing available were yukata's for indoors and it was too thin for the night. All you could do now was to do your hair a little. Unless...
Running towards the window, you whistled to Karasutori who was perched by the Wisteria tree. Flapping towards you, the bird's eyes squinted with doubt. The look on your face was one that signified hard labor.
"Hello my favorite bird~" You cooed to your raven. Petting his sleek tiny head. "I need you to do me a favor."
Taking out a few wads of bills, you went on your knees and handed it to Karasutori like an offering.
"I need you to buy me a (f/c) yukata. Tell the person any design will do as long as it's for women."
"No."
"Please. I can only trust you and your my favorite bird."
"You barely know other birds in your life, (Y/N)." Karasutori cawed and began to hit you with his wings. He had done this more times than he could remember.
"I'll get you those expensive mochi you like so much. Remember those? Blueberry filled ones." Bribery was his weakness and you were going to exploit him till he agreed.
"How many?"
"2."
"Make it 3 and we have a deal." Without waiting for your response, the raven flapped his way over the gate. Knowing full well just what kind of yukata you would want. This wasn't the first time you sent him out to yukata. With the weight the cloth had to offer, he was pretty prideful with how strong he was compared to other birds.
