Noor's Diary 📒

The fountain .

Mrs maikudi has just received her monthly mail and she was in a hurry to see if any letter came from noor , she immediately sighted a pink envelope and she opened it , Mrs maikudi had finished reading the letter and she didn't know what to say anymore , her excitement had changed into sadness and maybe pain , she cleaned her tears and read the letter on and on until she decided that she would let noor go she couldn't stop her anyways she didn't even know where noor was so stoping her was not an option , she was very sad that she wasn't going to see her daughter any time soon the sadness even turned to anger , why would noor leave home in the first place , even if noor was sad I also lost my husband didn't I? , Mrs maikudi felt like noor had gone too far .she kept the letter aside and fell into a deep slumber . Mrs maikudi had a dream a dream that brought upon a smile on her face after she woke up , she was happy she immediately got up , took a pen and paper and replied to noor's letter , the dream was about her and noor reuniting after years of being apart .

      The anger I have in my heart for you is unbearable noor but I have come to realize that only you can make this sort of a decision for yourself and I know you are grown now and this is what you want so I respect that but I will miss you I always have since the vey first day you left noor you broke my heart to be honest but a mother can't stay angry at her child so noor when you go to study abroad I'll want you to always remember your values do not cross the limit always remember that you are Khadijah noor Muhammad maikudi remember that you are supposed to be light to people and not bring them pain , noor remember me always and make me proud , be grateful to your guardian love her like you would love me , don't give her reasons to chase you away noor and if you ever need anything money or anything tell me noor . I love you my daughter do not break your promise , you said 4 years and that's it do not break your promise noor I'll wait for you patiently

Now Mrs maikudi waited for the next day to send the letter but she promised herself that she would wait for noor to come before she leaves  , she just had to see her , how much she had grown and how beautiful she would look . She put the letter in an envelope along with a picture of her , noor and Mr maikudi on noor's 5th birthday and patiently waited for Friday at 4pm .

Noor's POV
Noor was really worried about how her mom would react , she didn't want her to get angry but noor knew her mom was a calm person and she would understand but the thing is she was going to a different country with a total stranger but she wasn't a stranger to noor just her mom , to noor , Maimuna was her whole life after her mom , she decided not to think about it she would just wait and see what would happen .

Maimuna's POV
Since I found this girl crying that faithful day on the streets my life haven't been the same , I have been a happier human I have learned to love again and to smile again , noor has brought so much happiness and light to my life , since I lost my two daughters Hadiza and Rukaiyya, I gave up on life but now I have a reason to live again 🥺ya Allah please continue to bless and protect my daughter noor Maimuna somehow hoped that they would be no trace of her relatives so they won't take noor away from her she knew it was wrong but it was the truth , she just loved her too much now and didn't want to lose her , noor had become a part of her ❤️

It was Friday  and Noor  woke up early , did her chores , cooked and then she and lady Maimuna had breakfast ,their trip was in a week and noor just couldn't wait to go settle there already the thought of packing and everything stressed her out even before she started . Noor had   asked permission to go out for a while , Maimuna decided not to ask noor where she was going to because she felt noor was very responsible and won't go to places she wasn't supposed to be . Noor prayed Asr and wore a black abaya and pink scarf on , noor wore mostly black now the pink scarf she put on was just because she was happy that she would read what her mom wrote at least  it was something , she kissed Maimuna on her forehead and headed out .

MashAllah mashAllah today is Friday and it's 3:20pm already, I'll take the letter with me now said Mrs maikudi she was really excited that she would see her daughter today but she didn't want islam and Anas to find out about this , she wanted it to be a secret for no good reason though , she took out her car keys and headed out , she had gotten to the park and went near fountain and she dropped the letter and put a stone over it so it won't fly away , it won't get wet either because the fountain had stopped working , noor waited too to see how her mom would drop the letter , she hid behind some trees and got a glimpse of her mom , this put a smile on her face and tears in her eyes but this time it was tears of joy , funny how both mother and daughter had the same plan to see each other , Mrs maikudi had dropped the letter and went away she acted like she had gone home already but no she came back and stayed low behind a car waiting to see noor , noor had gone to take the letter but was too curious to wait that she just had to read it , she read the letter and saw the picture , she cried and cried but cleaned her tears because she was in public and people might ask questions she quickly stood up hid the envelope in her bag and headed home , all this while her mom looked at her from afar , noor's mom couldn't express her happiness noor looked so beautiful and well fed , she felt so happy that her daughter was in good hands , she started to cry too but she cleaned her tears and went quickly to her car and drove off .

Noor was overwhelmed that her mom respected her decision , she loved her and couldn't wait for the time to come , for her to see her mom and for all her pain to go away because even though she tried to forget ,the memory was still fresh in her head and so was the pain , she still hated the thought of going to her father 's house but she badly wanted to hug her mom but she knew if she does her mom would make her stay but no it wasn't time to stay yet ,she still felt hurt for losing her virginity and she definitely felt more hurt about  losing her dad, she didn't even hate Anas anymore instead she hated all of the male specie💔 , she generalized what had happened to her as a trait of all men .
