Noor's last year in Portsmouth (maybe , maybe not . )

Maimuna's POV
It was Thursday and noor had gone to school early for her morning classes so I became bored and decided to look round the house like I used to those days when me and my habibi (her late husband)used to live here , I really did miss him a lot and my daughters may all their souls Rest In Peace , why am I hearing weird sounds from noor's makeup room it sounded like a rat I'll go check .
Lady Maimuna never really entered noor's room when she wasn't home , she didn't want to ever invade her privacy but this time she had to enter because of the weird sounds that kept coming from there , she went along with a stick to probably kill the rat when she got into the room she heard those same noises from inside the wardrobe she was scared but went ahead to open it , she gently brought down everything that was inside in order to see where the creature was , a sheet of paper fell down and she picked it up and opened it to check if it was relevant or not that sheet of paper was not just any sheet it was the same paper that Mrs maikudi had written the letter she sent to near , lady Maimuna was confused , did noor write letters to her dead mom or did her dead mom write letters to her ? These were the questions she kept asking herself or was noor so depressed that she replied her own letters but this isn't her handwriting thought lady Maimuna at this point she was very confused she didn't even know what to think , but she knew noor wouldn't keep a secret this big from her and besides noor never left the house let alone meet up with any lady , the letter left lady Maimuna confused and somewhat jealousy she wasn't sure about how she felt , at a point she even thought that maybe noor had lost her sanity but then she would ask her anything just yet her birthday was around the corner and she didn't want noor to distant herself again .

Noor's POV
I can't believe I'll be 20 in a week , how time flies , I'll soon be done with uni and then go back to Nigeria I have made so much money from my extra jobs and savings I might even start a business in Nigeria who knows , my mind has tried so much to prepare me mentally to meet my mom in Nigeria and I think maybe just maybe I'm ready to do so but I'm not sure I'm ready to tell mama( lady Maimuna) the truth I'm so scared how would she feel ? May Allah make it easy for me , ameen . To be very honest I'm so excited about my birthday like yayyyyy and then Nurain said he would come so I'm extra excited we have become really close , he even said he wanted me to be his forever but I don't know I don't think about marriage often not yet please .i and ikram went shopping for my birthday dress I'm a kind of person that likes to cover up so I think I'll probably wear an abaya it's not like so many people would come just me ,mama, Hajia laraba and her kids , ikram and some people from school , although I was turning twenty i looked 14 I used to be chubby when I was little I really do not know what happened anyways I think I got it from my mom she's very tinyish if that's a word .

12:00 amJuly 9th
Noorie wake up wake up it's your fucking birthdayyyyyyyyy, ikram had slept over that noor's house just so she could be the first to wish her happy birthday, I said wake up idiot , what ikram please leave me alone I'm tired said noor , ok I'll leave , she stood up and got a bucket of water and emptied it on noor , noor woke up screaming because of the cold she immediately went to the bathroom to change  she  knew she would get sick if she wasted time scolding Ikram, noor had gotten out of her wet clothes and was back in the room now , she met ikram holding a cake with candles and singing happy birthday, noor was overwhelmed she even started to cry , she hugged ikram and ikram told her to make a wish , noor closed her eyes and made a wish , tell me what you wished for tell meeeeeee said ikram, well I can't tell you it's a secret when it comes through then I'll tell you . Then they went to sleep looking forward to the day's activities

2:00pm that same day
Everyone  noor was closed to had come and brought so many gifts and had wished noor a happy birthday , lady Maimuna had gifted noor a a very expensive necklace from pandora , noor really loved it  she almost fell Maimuna down out of excitement , but noor wasn't enjoying the celebration like she thought she would , Nurain didn't come and he didn't give her a call either , this made her really worried she had tried calling him but he didn't answer , she wanted to ask Hajiya laraba but she might think noor was so in love with him so she didn't , the get together was almost over and still no sign of Nurain , noor gave up , but why would he tell her he would come if he wasn't going to ? , she was to angry she left everyone to go lay down a bit . Noor noor , lady Maimuna called Hajiya will be leaving now , noor stood up to go say bye to Hajia and the kids.  Ayya hajiya you want to leave me said noor , Habba noorie ba haka ba this time it's your turn to come visit me ok , yes yes I will In sha Allah , noor bent down and gave the kids a big hug they were so grown now her little yasir wasn't little anymore and sheerah she's so tall now maybe even taller then noor who knows😂 .

Everyone had  gone even Ikram and a maid came and cleaned everywhere , noor was so grateful that Hajiya had organized this for her , she  hugged and kissed her so much ,  noor it's okay now you know I danced so much today I'm very tired I'll go to bed now said Maimuna, alright mama good night love you ❤️, noor went to her room to go take a shower , she was done bathing and she checked her phone , wow so now he wants to text me said noor

Nurain : hey noorie I'm so sorry I couldn't make it something came up , please go downstairs and you will see a package for you beside the swing in the garden I'm so sorry I couldn't make it , I'll make it up to you noor ,I promise .
Noor didn't even reply the message she was too angry to do so , she got dressed and decided to go pick up the package from downstairs , noor got to the garden but didn't see any package she was so angry why would he lie then , she turned to go back inside and then there came his beautiful voice that noor loved so much
She turned immediately and ran towards him , first of all she gave him a slap on his arm for doing this to her , why Nurain why you scared me and made me cry , why are you late , I'm sorry princess I'm here now , she hugged him and didn't want to let go ever , they both talked for a while and then Nurain gave her a box and told her to open it when she had reached her room , she was so happy she thanked him but was kind of angry that he went through so much trouble for her , seriously thank you so much Nurain, it's ok noor stop it I would do anything for you , noor felt butterflies in her tummy , she and Nurain weren't dating or anything but they did treat each other like a would  couple and Nurain always said sweet things to her which she didn't mind hearing at all , it was drizzling now and Nurain suggested noor went inside besides it was late and she needed sleep , he hugged and wished her a happy birthday for the last time , noor was sad that he was leaving already , would you come back let's say tomorrow? Noor asked in such a cute tone , I'll come back whenever you want me too princess bye ❤️.

Noor ran to her room , she was so eager to open the package and when  she did first thing she saw was a ring and a book which looked like a journal the book had so many writings with so many packages , they were other things but just that journal and ring caught noor's eyes , noor had read the journal for so long it was 2am when she finished , the journal was about his feelings for her and all that had happened between them noor cried so much after reading this she couldn't believe he wrote I love in 100 different languages and on the last page Nurain wrote :
I cherish you so much and I would love to see you everyday when I wake up , I would love to wipe every tear off your beautiful face , I love you noor I really do please be my forever and the mother of my children I wouldn't  walk this path with any one else noor , please say yes ❤️

At this point noor didn't know what to say , she did love Nurain yes she finally admitted that but then would he still love her if he knew about her past ?
