I opened my eyes slowly and smiled slightly. Last night felt like a dream…but I knew that it was real. As I sat up I heard a tap on my window, when I looked over I saw an out line of a person. I got out of bed, walked over to the window and pulled up the blinds. I saw Riley standing outside of my window. He tapped on the window and I smiled. I opened the window and leaned out the window.

“Morning beautiful.” Riley said with a smile I kissed his forehead and backed away from the window. After he climbed in I leaned to the side and saw that the sun was peeking over the horizon. I looked at him.

“Riley don’t you usually wake up later than this?”

“Well I couldn’t sleep…”

“Why?” I asked and he walked closer to me. He put his hands on my hips and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Because I was thinking of you.” He said and I rolled my eyes.

“You are so cheesy sometimes.” I said, kissed his cheek and walked away from him. I went to my dresser, got my clothes and looked over my shoulder at Riley. I noticed that he wasn’t in uniform. I looked back at the uniform in my arms then back at Riley, who was bouncing on the bed.

“Uhh…don’t we have school?” I asked and he stopped then looked at me.

“On wednesdays they let us wear normal clothes for the day. You started on a thursday so you didn’t know. Also I really need to explain how our school works…don’t I?” I nodded and put the uniform back then got out some cloths I got when I went shopping with my grandma the day before I started school along with my other things for a shower and walked out of my room with Riley following right behind. When I got to the bathroom I quickly turned around and put my hand on Riley’s chest to stop him.

“Slow down there big boy.” He looked at me and pouted.

“We’ve only been dating for a night. I’m not letting you see this,” I then pointed to myself, “naked till we have been dating for a while.” I then took a step back, slammed the door in Riley’s face and locked the door. After taking my shower, getting dressed and putting my hair in a fishtail braid after brushing my hair. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Riley leaning against the wall and hitting the back of his head softly against the wall.

“Don’t do that unless you want to die by angry grandma.” I sad and walked to my room, with Riley following right behind again. After getting every thing together and putting on a pair of boots, Riley and I walked out of the house and to his car. After a ten minute drive we got to school but we were the only ones there, it looked like, and when I tried to get out of the car Riley stopped me. I looked at him and he let go of my wrist.

“Lilly…can I tell you something?”

“What is it?” I asked and he sighed.

“I found out that my dad was put in charge of the railway project that you are trying to stop. I told him about him about you on the phone when he called last night and he says he wants to talk to you when he gets back. I think he’s going to try to convince you to reconsider…” He said and I rolled my eyes.

“Riley I know he’s going to try to get me to reconsider but what you don’t know that it’s very hard to get me to change my mind when I’m committed to something. Your dad better be ready to fail miserably at changing my mind. My grandma’s the same way. Just let your dad know that my grandma thinks the same and that both of us will be there.” He sighed and after a minute he nodded. After ten minutes of talking Jane pulled up next to Riley’s car and waved to us through the window. The other students started to arrive and Riley was telling the truth about wednesdays. We got out and Jane got out of her car at the same time. We walked into the school with the other students pouring in and we walked around since we had a few minutes.

The day went by quickly and after Riley dropped me off at my house I kissed him goodbye and ran inside. I then ran straight to the backdoor, ran through the backyard, went over the fence, ran to the tree and climbed up the ladder. I undid the braid and let my hair fall. After fluffing my hair for a few seconds and taking off my backpack I grabbed a water from the other backpack, a bag of nuts and got to work on my homework. After being bored out of my mind for an hour, and after completely confusing it for thirty minutes with french, I went over to the window and sat on the sill with my legs hanging over the edge. The fresh air smelled nice and crisp. I felt something  land on my head.

I didn’t bother checking after I heard a chirp. I heard the faint whistle of a train and I got reeled back into reality. I went inside a few minutes later and grabbed my backpack. I slid down the ladder and Stepped back. I looked up as I saw some of the animals from the tree’s filter in through the entrances.

“If this place goes…some animals will lose there home.” I heard a familiar voice say. I looked over my shoulder and saw Frank. I looked back up as I saw one more bird fly inside.

“I know. I see they’re nest sometimes.” I said and turned around.

“I’ll restock tomorrow but there’s enough for tonight.” I said and Frank smiled. He nodded and walked past me. I walked home, went over the fence and went inside. I saw my grandma yelling at Matt in the living room but I ignored it and walked past them.

I then went into my room and prepared for when Riley’s dad would try to basically brainwash me in someway.
