Quick warning for some more mature stuff happening towards the end. Just implied stuff though, nothing actually happens.

I'm also still working on the requests that got sent. I was just reading some other fan-fiction and got a little carried away with this one. Fake dating is my favorite trope as I usually got stuck in the same situations with people. - Evan

Arthur is the son of a big business CEO and next in line to inherit the family business.

Merlin is an IT guy that spends most of his time in a small room that's practically in the basement.

-

One day, Merlin comes up from his office for coffee and finds Arthur being hit on by one of the women that just started. There was something in Arthur's eyes that basically screamed "Help me" to Merlin. He smiles and walks up to Arthur, wrapping a hand around the other man's hip before turning to the woman.

"Hi, I'm Merlin, down in IT. I don't think we've met yet," he said, reaching his free hand out to the woman as Arthur leaned into the embrace.

"Oh, I'm no one important. I just saw Mr. Pendragon over here on his own and thought I would come over to say hello." She raised an arm to her chest, acting as though she didn't have it on his arm just moments before.

Merlin smiled at her before looking at Arthur, "Yeah, he does tend to like his quiet coffee breaks."

She nodded and picked up her cup of coffee before leaving.

Merlin's hand left Arthur and he stepped to make his own coffee. "Was that okay? You just looked really uncomfortable."

Arthur let out a sigh and nodded. "Every time some new girl starts, they make a point to 'say hello' and start flirting with me. I don't know if they just want in with the boss's son for a promotion, if they want me for the money, or if they genuinely are interested. Sorry, you didn't ask for all of that."

"Nah, it's okay," Merlin laughed, stirring sugar into his coffee, "if you ever need a save, just let me know. I'm not looking for a promotion or your money."

Arthur nodded and smiled before saying goodbye.

They didn't see each other again until a week later, Arthur came running into Merlin's office, breathing heavily.

"Help. She is right behind me." He whispered between gulps of air.

Merlin laughed and motioned for Arthur to sit on the empty corner of the desk. The only light in the small office was coming from the 5 monitors, but he could still see the obvious fear in Arthur's eyes.

"Arthur, where did you go?" Came a call from the hallway.

Merlin mouthed a quick "follow my lead" before rolling his chair to be in front of Arthur, both hands finding their place on the flushed man's thighs. "So, where are you taking me for lunch today?"

"I was thinking the little french cafe down on 5th. Their sandwiches are to die for." Arthur replied, ears tinged pink as Merlin's thumb traced circles on his inner thigh.

"Arthur, if you wanted a... oh." The woman from the hallway stumbled into the room and froze at the image in front of her. "Um, what is going on here?"

"Just picking up my lunch date, did you need tech help?" Arthur basically growled at the woman, making Merlin drop his head into Arthur's knee to keep from laughing.

She shook her head and quickly backed out of the room. Merlin removed his hands and turned back to his keyboard.

"Give it about 5 minutes and she will be back upstairs. No one will even know you were in here." he laughed, typing something out quickly.
