Unexpected Ever After

Chapter 8 The Party Part 2

A/N Hope you guys enjoyed the bonus this week.  I wrote it because I was bored and it was one of the few times during the day when I was motivated and had inspiration.  I was just going to skip over Jayden's attempts at flirting but after reading a comment I have decided to pick up from there.  By the way if I put defiantly instead of definitely please read it as definitely.  I was not reading things correctly and looking through it again I couldn't find where I messed up so please ignore the error.

~ Time ~ Evening Nearing Night ~ Jayden's POV ~

~ Location ~ Kingdom of Flowers- Ball Room ~

     While I was wandering around the room with Carter I spotted a group of girls. I gave him a look and then confidently walked over to them.  When they first saw me walking over to them they gave me hostile looks  but as I got closer they smiled to each other.    I hoped at least one of them would fall for me by the end of the night.  There were five of them on total so I think I have a pretty good chance.  There were three with blonde hair, one with brown hair, and one with black hair.  I looked at each of them and then used my best pick up line.

     "Hello ladies.  I couldn't help but notice how stunning you all look tonight," I said.  They were probably head over heels for me now.

     "Um.... thanks," the girl with black hair responded.  She was obviously unsure of what to say so I began the conversation again.

     "My name is Jayden.  Can I ask you lovely ladies for yours?"

     "Sure... my name is Jewel.  The three blondes are Ashley, Chloe, and Rose.  The brunette's name is Kendall."

     "Hey, do you girls like sweets?"

     "Yeah."

     "Well none of them could compare to your sweetness."  I'm sure that they loved it but then just as I was getting them Carter came over and ruined it.

     "Excuse me girls can I borrow him for a moment?" he asked.

     "U-um, sure go right ahead," the girl named Chloe said.  I could have sworn she was blushing but I was pulled away before I could examine.

     "Dude!  What the heck!  They were liking me.  Why did you pull me away?"

     "They didn't like what you were doing.  Even I didn't and I'm your best friend.  That were really bad."

     "Alright then what should I do since you're clearly an expert Mr. 'I don't want to be in a relationship'."

     "Just um... I don't know.  How about be yourself.  If you do that they'll fall in love with you in no time.  Trust me."

     "Alright, I'm going to trust you but if they end up hating me it's your fault."  He laughed at my statement and gave me a thumbs up.  With that pep talk and him boosting my confidence I went back over to the group.

     "Hey girls, sorry for the wait," I said trying act less like I was before.

     "It's ok.  By the way.  Who's your friend?" Rose asked.

     "Oh, he's my friend Carter-" I was cut off by Jewel before I could finish.

     "You mean like the prince of the Kingdom of Swords Carter."

     "Umm, yeah."

     "Oh my gosh you have to introduce us to him.  Pretty please Jayden," Chloe asked me.

     "Oh... um but don't you want to talk to me?"

     "Why would we want to talk to you.  We only talked to you in the first place because we saw your hot friend and hoped you would introduce us to him."
