Background about world!!!

A/N Hey guys! I'm back and I wanted to point out a mistake I made.  I have trouble remembering names and actually put that Conner was the character's name in chapter 2 but it is actually Carter. So yeah this is just background information that should have been established sooner. Hope it's a fun chapter to read!

~ Kingdoms

There are 5 major kingdoms each with their own signature:

- tea

- flower

- clothing item

- animal

4 of the kingdoms surround the largest kingdom in the center with other smaller kingdoms and villages scattered around.

- The Kingdom of Flowers (south of main) ~ It is the second most populated kingdom and known for all of its flowers.  This kingdom is surrounded by fields of flowers and is located in an area with rolling hills and a river flowing through the center.  Its signature tea is a floral tea made with chamomile and rose petals. Its national animal is a rare breed of kiwi with pastel pink feathers that also has a bits of green and blue mixed in.  Their kingdom's flower is the tulip.  The clothing item that almost all of the locals can be found wearing is a flower crown of some sort which are made of anything from flowers to twigs and sometimes even precious stones for the most important people and a select few others. It is one of the few places which is hospitable to everyone who is willing to accept the ways of life there.  It is a well known place for people who are looking to get out of a bad situation and start a new life.  This makes it envied by some of the kingdoms who were not as prosperous but in the end all except for the Kingdom of Swords can't stay med at them due to their kind, giving nature.  Below is an image of signature flower

- The Kingdom of Swords (east of main) ~ It is one of the least populated kingdoms due to its well known violent nature which scares off most people.  This kingdom is surrounded by a forest that is dead with patches of the kingdom's flowers scattered around.   The kingdom's signature tea is a spicy tea that also includes some pepper and is and acquired taste for most since it is considered rude to add sugar or milk to tea in the kingdom.  Their national animal is a wolf only found within the kingdom's boarder.  It has white fur with blood red eyes and is know to be extremely aggressive and will kill anyone or thing it sees on site.  Their signature flower is the only flower which grows in the kingdom which happens to be red clematis. This flower is toxic to the touch and while not fatal it is still best to not come into contact with this flower with bare skin. (I did research this is true.)  The clothing item that is required to be worn while inside the kingdom is a black pair of gloves with a weapon of choice hidden by the gloves.  In the kingdom social status is determined by power and it is seen as cowardly to use anything other than a melee weapon or your own hands.  The only exception is enchanted armor which is extremely rare and can only be acquired through other people who are willing to sell theirs since there are no more known books which have the spells to enchant the armor. (If there was one it would most likely be found in either the Kingdom of Flowers' or the Kingdom of Neutrality's library.)  The king of this kingdom can be challenged at any time and the winner will have the throne.  The throne has been in the same family for generations since they have enchanted armor which grants enhanced strength.  A tradition that is not well known is that once the ruler's first child has reached the age of 16 they start looking for a partner and if they cannot find one or even if they find one and come to realize they do not really like them before the age of 19 (which is when they will take the throne) then their parents will chose a partner for them or they will just marry the person they had picked but realized they did not like.  Even if the other person did not want to marry them either they will still have to be wed because if they don't the king will disown their child and kill the other person's family and leave them both to starve in the streets.           Below is an image of signature flower  

~ Genders and Such

~ In this world there are genders.  They are male and female but they are not limited to that.  There are also non-binary people like those which make up most of the Neutrality kingdom.  In this world (now this next part might make some people mad) any gender can give birth under certain circumstances.  There is a particular plant in this world that when made into a tea will allow males to have children.  Even though this is true this is permanent and will give men a period too which is why most just choose to adopt a child if they want one.  In this world it is completely normal to have a couple consisting of two of the same gender as well as in some kingdoms for there to be only one person with a child.  Everything is chill and it is seen as a crime in some kingdom and just rude in others to judge people for liking someone of a certain gender.
