Chapter 16 The rescue

"Jacob what are you doing here?" I ask alarmed as if he's gonna pull another one of those 'moments'. "Dylan I was looking for you." I try inching away but I'm in to much pain to move. "get away you already ruined my life enough!" I yell at him. he looks at me with a hurt expression. "Dylan I really thought we could start over. and be like friends." I look at him wanting to trust him but I don't think I will ever trust him ever. "Jacob you ruined my life and my relationship." I stare at him waiting for his reply. but all he does is walk up to me. I press up against the tree behind me. "Dylan please forgive me. Alex forced me to he said some kind of plan of revenge." he says holding out his hand for me to get up. I grab his hand but when I lift myself up I fall immediately back down. Jacob grabs my shoulder and helps me up. he then helps me walk to the nurses office.

When I wake up I see my knee is wrapped in a cast. 'well this is just swell' I say under my breath. I look around the room and notice a rose on the night stand. I move around in my bed and grab the rose a note flies to the ground. 'frick!' I yell softly but loud enough for the nurse to hear. "are you alright?" I look up and see a woman with short brown hair. "yea perfectly fine just dropped something." I say pointing to the note. "Oh that." she says with a smile. "A nice boy with brown hair came in here and left this for you." she continues picking up the note and hands it to me. "be sure not to put to much weight on you knee." she says walking out. I glance at the note and smile. I feel like my heart just fixed itself.

'Dear Dylan,

I wanted to tell you that Jacob came up to me earlier today and told me all about what happened. And I wanted to say I'm sorry.
Will you forgive me?
Forrest.'

I am the most happiest person alive right now, right until I see Lynx getting carried in by two staff members....
