☹☹☹

We were now nearing Conan's hometown in Georgetown, Texas. To say he was excited was an understatement. He was especially jumpy today.

It had been a few days since I opened up to him about my life and what I went through. And in just those few days we became closer than ever. Dare I say, even more than how Liz was 'close' to him. I still don't know why she gets on my nerves.

Speaking of Liz, she's been acting strange to me the past days. She's pretty normal around the others, but she avoids too much interaction with me. Not to mention, she's been extra clingy to Conan.

I knew she liked him but damn, she might a tad bit obsessed.

What is she so scared of anyway?

It's not like we have feelings for each other.

"Hey, Prairs." I snapped out of my thoughts when Conan caught my attention. Everyone in the group was currently sitting on the couch, doing whatever they were doing.

Bianca and Christine were talking about some tea on the internet while Liz was just on her phone browsing through her instagram. I was seated beside Conan who was eating a bag of flaming hot Cheetos.

"I didn't know Prairie had a nickname." Liz said from her seat, still scrolling through her phone. I answer her, hoping to end the conversation quickly, "I do, although I just let a few people call me by it."

"So you and Cone are pretty close, huh?" she asks with a blank face, but I knew she was being petty. "It's nothing really." I assure her, hoping she'd get out of my hair.

"Sure, whatever you say." she sassed and went back to her phone. I rolled my eyes at this but made sure Conan didn't see it.

"You were saying?" I urged Conan to continue as I grab a piece from his bag of Cheetos. "So, you remember Ashley from my stories and all?" he asks as he bites a spicy red piece and chews it up.

"You've mentioned her enough times for me to remember, so yeah I guess." he laughs at my reply.

"Well I was thinking if you'd like to go with me to my house. To meet her, of course."

"Are you sure? What about the others?"

"Don't worry, they said they wanted to explore the place a bit. And I suppose you don't have any plans?" he argues.

I think about it for a while. I'd be fine exploring the area with the girls, but is it really worth it when Liz is there?

Goddamnit why do I hate her so much?

"Alright, you win. I'm going with you." I finally decide which resulted in the freckled boy smiling like a freak.

Sis ain't complaining though; his smile is priceless.

"Great, awesome! Can't wait for you to meet her." he exclaims and squeals a bit like a dolphin, making me snicker at him being all giddy.

After a few more minutes of waiting, the tour bus finally stopped in front of the hotel we'd be staying in except for Conan, who had a home around here.
