☹☹☹
We were now reaching the end of our first show. Everything tonight was perfect, at least to me. But I could safely say everyone else thought the same, judging by the smiles on their faces.
The audience never stopped singing along to each song the entire show. Conan never stopped moving around the stage and dancing crazily either. Now we were down to our last song number.
"Before we start our last song tonight I just want to thank every single one of y'all for coming to my first ever performance in this tour. It really means a lot to me." Conan speaks into the microphone as the crowd cheers.
Hearing them cheer for Conan made me strangely proud of where we were standing at that moment. We went through ups and downs through our practices, and the hard work was paying off. And I only knew these people for less than half a year.
You're finally living your damn dream, Prairs.
"I hope y'all enjoyed the show tonight. Otherwise your money would've been wasted." he jokes and the audience laughs. Once they quieted down, Conan brought the microphone near his mouth.
"And for our last song, here is Crush Culture." he says and immediately the music starts and the lights go dimmer than before. The intro finishes playing and Conan starts singing the lyrics.
My god don't look at your phone
No one's gonna call you
Quit checking your volumeHe sings the first few lines and turns back to face the band. We then catch each other's gazes.
I don't care if I'm forever alone
I'm not falling for you
'Cause this baby is loveproofHe continues singing never breaking our eye contact. And just as quickly, I felt as if I was in another world. No, scratch that, I was in another fucking universe.
I don't care what you're saying
I don't wanna participate in your
game of manipulationHe bounces to the beat of the music as his fluffy cloud of brown locks bounce as well with each step he took. I still continue to look at him, captivated at how angelic he looked.
And no, I don't want your sympathy
All this love is suffocating
Just let me be sad and lonelyStage lights with different shades of purple, pink and blue framed his freckled face perfectly as he continued staring at me.
And suddenly everything stops. Hell, I think my heart even stopped beating.
'Cause—
He gives me a small smile and turns back to the crowd as the beat drops and the chorus enters. The lights then turn on with all the various colors filling up the small room. Everyone then started howling and cheering as loud as possible.
I couldn't hear them though.
Their voices were barely going through my head, muffled as I stare at the curly haired boy who bounced around the small stage, shining under the spotlight.
