☹☹☹

My daydreaming was interrupted by a very angry customer. What did I even do?

Oh shit. I didn't realize I was bringing a glass of chocolate milkshake on a tray. Why do I always have to screw up? My boss is gonna kill me tonight. I just know it.

I looked down at the area I so generously spilled milkshake on, and realized a large portion of his laptop was soaked in the cold sugary liquid as well. I looked at the person and saw that he had some milkshake on him too. He looked at me with the angriest eyes I've ever seen, next to Alisa's when the barista at some cafe gave her the wrong drink- and let me tell you, she did not look happy at all.

I took a good look at the boy I had just spilled choco milkshake on. He had a light colored skin tone with a few moles and freckles spread across his face, but somehow something told me he was Asian. He had sort of chinky light brown eyes. He looked like he was around my age, probably a year or two older than me, but his clothes said otherwise.

He was clad in an oversize t-shirt with red sleeves(which were now stained with brown because of me), tucked in a pair of black shorts with a black belt that had a silver buckle on it, and wore a pair of red and white Adidas shoes. Then there's the hair.

God his hair looks too fucking majestic.

I think it was the fluffiest hair I've seen on a boy. I wonder how it feels to touch that cloud of brown. It would definitely feel out of this world.

What the hell. Why am I even fantasizing over some random guy's hair?

"I knew I shouldn't have chosen some random place to edit in." he grumbles to himself as my cheeks heat up at the realization of staring at him for almost a minute. "I am so sorry, I wasn't looking. I know that's not really the best excuse but-"

"You're damn right it's not a good excuse. Now I have to start my work all over again!" the boy yelled at me in frustration.

Nice one Prairs, you fucked up for what seems to be the millionth time.

"Let me help you, it's the least I could do." I tell the boy dressed like a child as I scramble to find some paper towel. "Save it. I have a feeling you're going to screw things up again." the boy retorted as he angrily grabs his backpack covered in badges along with his milkshake stained laptop and stomped out of the diner.

I definitely deserved that.

It was a good thing no one else was present in the diner as it was around two in the afternoon when that whole fiasco took place. I sighed and started cleaning up the mess I made. Once I finished up with everything, my shift ended just in time.

I entered the back room and was met with a distressed Alisa. I ignored her and grabbed my bag. She was usually like this, and for the smallest reasons no less. "Gonna head out now, my shift just ended. Bye Alisa, take care." I say as I open the door and exit to the parking lot. Alisa just responded with a grunt, still frowning while looking at her phone screen.

I enter my car and turned on the engine, but before I departed I scrolled through my twitter feed, and saw Alisa's most recent post. She retweeted something with a quote that said "guess ill have to wait next week then );"

I then looked at the tweet she retweeted that said "sorry y'all i think i'll have to postpone my next video, something happened with my laptop ):" It seemed to be a tweet from Conan Gray. Never heard of him.

So that's what Alisa was so upset about? A YouTube video? I shake my head smiling at the thought of Alisa panicking over some video and drove out of the diner's parking lot.

I enter my bedroom and immediately jumped to my bed, but remembered I had another task, and that was to get ready for my gig tonight. it was still around 5:30 pm and my gig was around seven, so i figured it would be good to be early for once.

I did some retouches on my make up since it started to look gross especially after hours of working in the diner. It was the same old look, concealer and some lip gloss, but I added a touch of beige-ish shade of eyeshadow. It's a bit bland but it looked simple, so that was enough for me.

I let my dark brown locks down and let them be in their wavy state after being in a bun for hours. I placed a few bobby pins on the side of my hairline to keep my baby hairs out of my face when I performed.

After I put on the outfit I prepared earlier morning, I looked at myself in my full body mirror, but struggle to turn the lights on that area.

Looks like I need to start paying my bills.

Once the lights were finally on, I looked at myself in the mirror once more. I was clad in a tight fitting black short sleeved turtle neck and some tattered high waist light wash loose fitted denim jeans with small chains hanging on the belt loops on my right side, and wore a pair of black combat boots. I topped it off with a large denim jacket that had the same wash as my jeans.

Damn I look good.

I grabbed my bass guitar and walked out of my apartment for the second time today, and drove my way to the bar I was supposed to perform in.

☹☹☹
