When Peter drops me at home Margot is (obviously) waiting for me at the entrance.

- Hey Margot - I say.

- Hello Lara Jean - she waves to Peter who is allready leaving- News?

- Not any! - I say, provoking.

- Why don't you start by saying what Peter Kavinsky was doing at our house in the morning?

- Don't say it out loud Margot! - I say apprehensively - Dad and Kitty can hear!

- They are not at home. Now tell me Lara Jean, did you have sex?

- No! - she looks at me with someone who says "I doubt it" - Not exactly.

- What do you mean "not exactly"?

- Don't make me explain, please. - I don't even know where to stick my face.

- Lara Jean I don't want to know details, if you don't want to tell me you don't have to.

- I want to tell you, just not that way. Let's go in first.

We both went to her room. I lie down on the bed and she sits down, looking at me expectantly.

- Yesterday I was lying down when Peter called me, saying he wanted to see me. He insisted and I accepted, but he was already at the window! - Margot laughs at that part - He came in and said he had come because he needed to "relieve himself".

- Urgh! - Margot pretends to vomit.

- Yeah, I know. But we started to kiss and ended up rolling. - I'm embarrassed to realize what I just said.

- Was that it? - she says as if she already knew it wasn't.

- No, he did it to me too.

Margot swallows dry, ashamed. It is strange to share such intimate things with someone in the family. After a while she says:

- Well Lara Jean, I think you're doing the right thing, going in baby steps. I just want you to count on me for what you need, and not do anything you don't want to.

- Thank you Margot ...

We hug and the afternoon goes on normally.
