Rachael never really did things like kiss a boy or go on cute dates. She preferred to just be by herself eating out her whole fridge but she was still a teen in high school which meant she still had time to experience those things.

Rachael got ready for school, as usual, waiting for a text from Michael. Her parents were still home and noticed that her car wasn't in the driveway when they came home. She explained to her parents that she had to leave it at school as a friend was taking her somewhere and would pick her up in the morning. She didn't specify that it was Michael as she was sure that he parents would start making assumptions so she had to make sure that they drove away fast before her parents try to sneak a look at who the person is.

Ding!

She checked her phone and read that Michael was here. She swiftly picked up her bag and said goodbye to her parents as she left the kitchen.

"Don't you want to introduce us to your friend? You haven't mentioned having a friend ever since that time," her mum's voice quietened down when she said the last part.

"They're not really a friend so you don't have to worry," she told her.

"Your friend drives a nice car," Rachael turned around to see her dad peeping through the window of the living room and mentally sighed as her mum went to join him.

"Mum, dad please stop. I'm going to be late for school," she told them.

"You didn't mention that your friend was a boy," her mum said.

"He's not a friend he's just someone I know," she said as she walked to the door and left the house.

She could see Michael tapping away at the steering wheel as he looked through his phone. He looked up when he heard the sound of heels softly clicking on the ground. He rolled down the passenger window and smiled at the approaching girl.

"Good morning," he said with such enthusiasm.

"Morning," Rachael greeted back as she got into the car. "Let's go or we're going to be late."

"Someone's eager to get to school," he said as he started the car and drove out of Rachael's neighbourhood.

Rachael stared out of the window admiring the morning sky. Michael glanced towards her a few times until Rachael noticed and pointed it out.

"Keep your eyes on the road. I don't want to die young," she told him.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked her as he focused on the road ahead of them.

"Nothing in particular. I'm more of admiring the sky," she replied to him.

"You know, you kind of remind me of-" he was cut off by Rachael.

"Reuben? Mason told me the same thing once," she explained to him.

"Yeah. You friends with Mason?" he asked her but Rachael only just shrugged. She knew that they weren't really friends as it isn't easy to become friends with someone like her but they were more like acquaintances.

"Are you like really close to her? I know you're in the same friendship group but like there's always that one person you're not as close with than other," Rachael asked him a bit intrigued on knowing Michael's relationship with the others.

"Honestly, she kind of scares me but in a different way. Like Michelle is one type of scary but Masons another," he told her. When he mentioned that Michelle was scary she remembered what Michelle had told her yesterday. She knew that Michelle was a threatening person and could find out anything about anyone with the click of her fingers. Rachael just didn't understand why she was keen on getting rid of her.
