Episode 16 - Duet Partner

"What? Wina, are you crazy?!" Finn said to me, "you want to invite who?"

Finn's loud voice echoed in the circular room as he drew a card from the deck. Finn and I were playing cardfight that was on the rage in the school. Amy quickly covered her ears as she gave us a sheepish smile.

"Finn, this room enhances your voice - there's no need to shout," she said.

"Well, you and Rain put together a gathering of people who secretly play music," I said and used a card to attack him, "so I thought... why not invite one more?"

"Because he's the chairwoman's right hand man, duh!" said Finn and put on an intercept defence.

"Well, Gale is not exactly a bad person... we're in the same extracurricular last year and I can always ask for his assistance," said Rain, "he might be quiet and reserved, but..."

"Exactly, he's not the type to tattle on people," I said and attacked him again.

"Maybe he won't tattle on us. But if he tells his mother about this place although he leaves our names... well, this place wouldn't be much of a place of our secret society anymore..." said Gracie as she crossed her arms, "he doesn't look like a bad guy, but..."

"Well, I never talk to him," said Kissa, "so I'm not the best person to decide on this,"

"Same, I don't even know who you guys are talking about," said Kya and chuckled, "just count me as neutral,"

"Well, guys?" asked Finn and turned to the others, "Hanson? Amy? Callie? Kassandra?"

"I say..." said Callie and placed both of her hands on my shoulders, "I trust Wina. I know she won't invite just anyone since we all know this is our secret spot,"

"Well... I leave the decision to you guys," said Kassandra, shrugging her shoulders, "whether you're gonna invite him or not, I'll go with it,"

However, I noticed a dubious smile on Kassandra's face.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Nothing," she said as she smiled and shrugged her shoulders once more.

"Well, for me..." said Amy, "I know we can't just invite a random person, but... I think we should give him a chance,"

"Well, it would be a bit mean to leave out one music lover," said Hanson, "maybe he's actually a nice person?"

"Come on, guys! What if we get sacked?" asked Finn and took his turn to attack me.

"Nah, let's give him a chance, just like Amy and Hanson said," said Callie, "it's only fair for him,"

"You know, we can always take hostage of something he thinks of as precious if you want to be sure," said Kya, "or threat to poison him with arsenic or something,"

"Our stock ice cream!" exclaimed Amy, "let's make some more, then! What are the ingredients again, Finn, Rain?"

I slapped my forehead.

I don't think he has anything he can't live without, though... I thought and healed a damage point, it's a bit presumptuous for me to say but it doesn't look to me that he has anything like that...

He's... just like me.

"Then we'll watch his every step," said Finn and pointed at Kassandra, "especially you, Kassandra, since you sit in front of him!"

"Whatt..." Kassandra groaned as she frowned, "oh come on, let Wina stalk him,"

"Me? Why?" I asked and pointed at myself.
