Okay maybe I'm just sensitive,
But videos and memes about class of 2020,
Are starting to get annoying.
I understand it's all fun and games,
No harm intended,
But I waited so long,
And worked so hard.
I deserve a graduation,
And all these things are just salt in the wound.
It's a big thing where I live,
There's a specific part of the ceremony,
That's only done where I am.
And I'll never get to experience it,
As a high schooler.
(Which is way more rite of passage than college.)
So please,
Stop sending me those tiktoks,
Those c/o 2🧻2🧻 "when everything went to shit" tshirt designs,
Those videos where they show off prom dresses and cap and gowns to their c/o 2020 household members.
It's not funny anymore.
Graduation,
like my would of been fourth year,
was the closing of a lot of things,
And now I'll never feel complete.
