CHAPTER TEN

               BEACH PARTY

After Regatta Maxwell and Hana walk along file docks.

" Ready for the beach extravaganza." Sabi ni Maxwell sa kanya.
" I think..so? May dapat ba tayong ipaghanda may mga press na naman ba" tanong niya kay Maxwell.
" Nope, it's just for fun party on one of the most gorgeous Beach in this area." Sagot ni Maxwell na  nakangiti sa kanya.
Nagbihis muna sila bago nagtungo sa beach.
" Let's go." Aya niya kay Maxwell.

" Alright, where's Liam at? " Tanong kay Maxwell Pagkarating pa lang nila.
" I think, kasama niya si Madeline ngayon." Sagot nito.
" Should i try to make move." Sabi niya dito..  " Better to bide your time, better to do it when Queen Regina is not around. In the meantime, we might eat as well." Sagot ni Maxwell sa kanya.

" Papunta na sila sa buffet area when Hana approach.

" Have you tried the appetizers? Tanong ni Hana kay Maxwell.
" What are they?."ani Maxwell kay Hana.
" Some kind of avant, garde, gourmet seafood at kumain ang mga ito. Everyone sits around the table the barbecue plate neatly empty.

" Again. That was soooo good." Ani Maxwell.
". Yes. It's taste good I'll have to ask the chief back home to add barbecue chicken to the rotation." Ani hana. Pagkatapos kumain tumayo si Drake.
" I don't Know you guys, but I'm ready to enjoy the water." Ani Drake.

" Im ready to stretch out like a beached whale." Sabi ni Maxwell sabay Tayo.
" Suit yourself, you coming with me, Montero? Hana?" Ani Drake sa kanila.
" Hang on, we need to put an sunscreen before we go." Ani Hana sa kanila.
" Kailangan ba talaga? Tanong ni Drake kay Hana.
" I would love some sunscreen." Sabi niya kay Hana... " Lucky, i bought enough for everyone." Ani Hana.

Ng tanggalin ni Hana Ang robe nito para maglagay ng sunscreen tinakpan ni Drake damit ang katawan nitong nakasuot ng bikini.
" Thanks." Ani Hana kay Drake.
   " That's good enough for me. I'll see you down by the water." Ani Drake dito at umalis.
Nilagyan niya ang likod ni Hana ng sunscreen.
" Thanks for the help." Ani Hana sa kanya.
" I'd be a bad friend if i let the sun burn you." Biro niyang sabi rito.
" I don't want to be bad friend either. Turn around at lagyan kita." Sabi ni Hana sa kanya na nakangiti. " All right, you're all set." Anito pagkatapos siyang lagyan ng sunscreen sa likod

" Let's find our wayward drake." Anito sa kanya at iginiya siya papunta sa dagat. Nakita nila si Drake na naglalaro sa tubig.
" Come on in! The waters great." Aya nito sa kanila ni Hana

" I don't see why he should have all the fun. Im going in! " Ani Hana at lumapit kay Drake na naglalaro ng tubig.

" Sam, you coming?" Tanong ni Hana sa kanya..
" No. I'm tired and I just want to rest.
" Alright." Ani Drake.
" Catch you later." Ani Hana.
Habang nag swimming si Drake at Hana nakita niya si Maxwell na mag isa.
" You seem you are little overdressed for swimming huh? Do you want to kick off your shoes?" Sabi niya kay Maxwell ng malapitan niya ito.
" Hmm...i guess that's a thing to do at the beach, isn't it." Sagot nito. Tinaggal nito ang sapatos.
" Wow.. this is the feeling more like a party." Anito.
" Are you having a good time? Tanong nito.
" It's nice to.. .... Take a break from competing for the prince. Simula ng dumating ako sa dito Wala na akong pahinga. Namiss ko kung ang buhay ko sa New York." Sagot niya dito sa malungkot na boses.
" It's good to rest...up... Sam although... I do see another opportunity for you.. look over there.." Ani Maxwell at tinuro si Penelope na mag isa lang.
" Yeah, poor Penelope..." Aniya.

" This is your big chance to got her on your side. Para may kakampi ka at boboto sayo para ikaw ang susunod na Reyna. So get over there and charm her like what you to me and Bertrand." Ani Maxwell sa kanya. Iniwan niya ito at naglakad papunta kay Penelope.

" Hello, Penelope!" Bati niya dito.
   " Oh, it's you?" Ani Penelope.
" Penelope...is that any way to greet a friend?" Sabi niya dito.
" We're not friends....er...are we?" Ani Penelope.
" Perhaps not technically, but I'd like to be your friend." Sagot niya.

" I supposed like your having a bad Time today?" Tanong niya.
" I supposed it's obvious, isn't it? Nahirapan akong kunin ito kanina pa ako rito halos isang oras ko na itong kinukuha pero ayaw. My advisor said i only need to look pretty at the balls and flirt with the prince. But it hasn't gone that way, at all. Between you and Olivia and Madeline, i don't have any chance at all, so what's the point of staying here." Ani Penelope.
" Penelope, there's more to this than just to be with the prince." Sabi niya dito.

" Huhh? Like what?

" Like forming a friendship and bonds with the other ladies here." Sagot niya dito.
" I don't know." Ani Penelope.

" Kahit na magkalaban tayo, ayokong kalaban ang tingin mo sa akin. Ine of us will marry the prince at pagkatapos nun wala na... We should at least try to get something more out of it, dont you think?" Sabi niya dito.
" That sounds right! But i.." ani Penelope.

Suddenly Penelope's eyes got wide at nabitawan nito ang hawak na plato na may laman.

" Eekkk, oh my goodness, help something is attacking me." Sigaw nito na takot na takot. Ng tingnan niya kung ano ang nasa paa nito, oh lord! alimasag ang nasa paa nito.
" Help! Do something!" Sigaw nito.
Isa sa nga staff ay tumakbo palapit at mabilis na tinanggal ang alimasag sa paa nito.
Penelope sadly rubs her foot.
" We'll this is reall low point in my life." Ani Penelope.

" Hey, nakasurvive ka ng kagatin ka ng alimasag, maybe your tougher than i thought." Sabi niya kay Penelope.
" Im going to Leave here failure." Malungkot na saad nito.
" Hardly. You can still used your time here to your best advantage." Aniya.
" And what's that?" Ani Penelope.
" By making an allies. Help me to get the court to see me favorably and when im Queen. I'll remember that you were there for me." Aniya dito.
" I supposed i could put the good word for you here and there." Ani Penelope at umalis.

" Success." Usal niya. Pabalik na siya ng mabangga niya si Liam.
" Sam, there you are. Im looking for you at dinalhan kita ng maiinom, mainit dito so i thought you'd like something refreshing." Ani Liam.
" You take a sip of the lemonade savoring the taste on your tongue." Dagdag nito. Kinuha niya dito ang dala nitong drinks.
" Mmm, perfect tart and sugary." Aniya ng natikman ang drinks.

" Just like you?" Ani Liam.

" I'm a tart?" Asar na tanong niya dito.
" In a way, you certainly have an interesting way of letting your opinion by known." Ani Liam.
" Uh-huh.... Not hearing a compliment yet...." Aniya.
" And your incredibly sweet." Ani Liam na nakangiti sa kanya.

" Aw thanks... Now i believe you'd come all the way here to see me just to give me a drink." Sabi niya dito.
" What if i did? It's all part of the royal service." Seryosong saad nito.
" Oh really, what other services can i expect from the crown prince of Cordonia? Tanong niya.
" Well to be honest, I was looking for you because i wanted to take you somewhere. May alam akong lugar dito the forgotten falls there but its gorgeous." Ani Liam.
" Is it the next stop?" Tanong niya.
" Well not for everyone. I used to go there often when i was a kid. Espesyal sa akin ang lugar na yon. I don't want to share it with anyone, but i would be mean a lot to me to share it with you. I'd love to go there with you.." Ani Liam.
" Not to mention that I'd be love to be with you always."" Aniya.
" Well, yes, there's that too." Nakangiting saad nito.

" Liam...." Bago pa niya matapos ang sasabihin dito tinawag ito ng hari.

" Liam!" Tawag ng hari dito.

" Father, you're on thr beach." " Ani Liam.
" Siguro naman you heard my announcement earlier. The retirement." Sabi ng Hari kay Liam.
" I did.

" I feel i owe you an explanation, lady Samantha please pardon us. I'd like to have a moment with my son." Sabi ng Hari sa kanya.
" Of course, Your Higness.

" I find you later, lady Samantha." Ani Liam sa kanya. Inowan niya ang Hari at si Liam para makapag usap. Hinanap niya si Liam at Bertrand. Nakita niya ang mga ito sa limousine.
" Look who finally made it." Ani Maxwell pagpasok niya sa limousine.
" I'm sure my absence was absolutely heart wrenching for you." Ani Bertrand sa kanya. Ilang araw din itong hindi nila kasama dahil sa mga meeting nito.
" Aren't you sad you missed out, Bertrand? " Sabi niya dito.
" Why would i, it feels good to relax." Ani Bertrand..
Umalis na sila para maghanda sa panibagong event para bukas sa Apple festival.
