Aaliyah Valdez and Alex Alvarez have been the closest of friends since they were 5 and in kindergarten. They met when Aaliyah had first moved in with Schneider. They are inseparable, they do everything together and always sleepover at each other's apartments since they only lived a few steps away from each other. In. fact If they ever need each other they can just use the fire escape that connects their bedrooms!

Alex and Aaliyah have been through a lot with each other their birthdays are around the same time. They have had their fun moments, cute moments, and awkward, embarrassing moments and they keep on coming throughout the years.

Schneider had adopted Aaliyah when she was only 5 years old. Her parents had never cared for her so after they died she never really remembered them.
