WARNING THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE SEASON 3 FINALE
Adrien's POV
Her heart? How could an akuma be in her heart. It can't be possible!
"Tikki, how is that possible?" I demand.
"I've seen it happen in the past but I can't remember how to stop it purify it."
"We'll figure it out later." I say. I decide to try to go to sleep and try to forget the day's problems. Her face keeps coming back to me as I close my eyes. Marinette can't handle that evil in her! Her soul is too pure and she's so innocent. When I finally drift to sleep my dreams are affected with nightmares. I can't stop imagining what could happen in the battles between Marinette.
As I corner Lady Butterfly I summon my cataclysym and press it to her heart. I wait for the akuma to come flying out but instead I see Marinette transform back and start drifting away. I kill her. I actually kill Marinette.
That was the worse nightmare I had I can't bare the thought of loosing M'lady. Even the ones where I perish don't match up to that one twisted dream.
Finally, I can't bear being stuck inside without helping Marinette. I summon Plagg and sneak out of Nino's house. I bring a bag too just in case I find anything. I make it to Marinette's house and decide to look for more clues.
When I get inside I realize that the room isn't like what it was earlier. It's a mess. There can only be one explanation.
Marinette has been here.
She must have been looking for something. I decide to look around and figure out what she was looking for. When I look up ,I find her posters of me, The ones that were covered with hearts earlier, are now ripped. She has cut them from the posters and glued them onto pictures of her with family and friends. The hearts that were originally pink and now black and purple. She has black crowns around both of our heads.
She wants me.
She wants me to be her king.
I look away from the pictures and go back to searching.
Whatever this thing is. Marinette has hid it well. I've been searching for a couple hours when I come across a red sphere. At first glance it looks like a ball but when I press on one of the black spots a compartment pops out. I look inside and find a miraculous inside. I continue to press the buttons and more of them pop out.
Right. I forgot.
Marinette is the new guardian. She has the miraculous box and all the information.
This is bad. Marinette barely shared any of the secrets with me. I look where I found the box and find a box of macaroons and some sheets of paper. I pick up the items and place them carefully in my bag. I'll look at them later and decide what to do.
Suddenly I feel as if I'm being watched.
I slowly turn around and I'm met with a pair of dangerous blue eyes.
"Marinette."
