9: Everest

"Crack!" The chains broke off and soon, I was all prepared, telekinesis at the ready and claws out. " Who are you and what do you want! Speak or this knife will go right through." I threatened him, at the same time wielding my powers to control the surgical knife at his neck.

"Who am I? Well, I am the world's greatest villain's son! I am the almighty Graydon Creed. Of course, our fathers were rivals but, if you think you will have a chance to escape me and be friends, forget about it."

He tried tugging the knife but it never worked. She was still too powerful for him to fight. "You think you can hurt me? You must have gotten the wrong information." I pushed the knife in further towards his throat. "Go to Hell!" I slit his throat, making blood ooze slowly towards the floor. I quickly escaped through the window and ran straight towards home.

"Dad? You home?" Nothing. He was never home early anyways. I started my practice as per usual. That's when I heard something. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I hyped myself and got ready to whack whoever this person was and what he was doing in my house.

"Hahaha. My stepdaughter won't even let me enter my wife's home. You are very much like your father. Energetic. Luckily you are like your mother in some ways."

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"You don't know me? I'm your uncle, sort of. After your mother divorced your father, she married me and we conceived a child, you may know her as Rachel. Rachel Grey. I'm here to tell your dad something. Can you help me convey the message?"

"Sure, what do you want to say?"

"Okay, write this down. Your beloved is in my hands. If you don't do anything, she will die. The location is XXX. Hurry or else!"

The next thing I knew, he took out a duffel bag and I could see nothing else except a hand moving over my head and the darkness surrounding me once again.

"Hi Everest." When I opened my eyes, I saw a lady with red hair. When she said my name, it was with so much displeasure that she even spat and had someone clean her tongue.

"Mother. How, unfortunate. You probably got the wrong person. If you think you can hurt me, think again." I cut off the ropes, but to no avail. "What, what is this! Why! Why me!"

"Everest, I thought you would be smarter my dear. This is the Unbreakable Rope. You think I would tie you up in some stupid $3 rope? Darling I think you have underestimated your mother."

"Jean! Let her go now!"

"Aww. Still the dumb little man I met. You really thought it would be this easy to get rid of me? Dear, I hope you understand why I'm doing this."

"You! You were the one who cheated on me! I never did ANYTHING to you! If you heard any rumours from your 'new' Husband, They are all false accusations to get you to like him! He NEVER CARED FOR YOU LIKE I DID! Please, let's not act like this in front of your second child."

"Oh she is just like her brother. Foolish. In the case of Cyclops lying to me, you really thought I wouldn't know it was fake? Oh please. I just knew that we weren't meant for each other. So I accepted Cyclops and he is way better than some Man Child."

"WAIT! STOP FIGHTING! WHO IS MY BROTHER?"

"Wolverine. You NEVER told your daughter that she had a brother? I'm disappointed. Everest, your brother is Nate. You wouldn't know much about him, since he went missing a few years ago."

"Wait. You mean The Nate Grey? He's my senior in school. He hangs out with a group of students, but recently he's been ditched and no one hangs around him."

"Are you telling me he isn't dead? Oh my gosh this is a miracle!"

"What do you mean by miracle. It's a tragedy! If he is still alive, it means that he will be targeted! Plus, he will not be able to help out because his entire portfolio is under classified! We need to find him now! Logan stay here. I'm going to go find him with your daughter. Move!"

"Everest. I need you to find your brother and bring him here okay? I know I haven't really been nice to you but we need to put him out of danger. Don't tell your father anything alright. After this I'll help you with your training."

"Fine. But on one condition. You need to stay with my dad for the next few days while I hunt my brother down. When I come home you can leave but don't EVER come back."
