"Dude, you're throwing too hard. Everything okay?" Clawd teased as he turned to face Austin. Austin was about to answer he was fine, just wanting to train harder when his phone rang and flashed with a text from Emma, the glare from his phone shining on his face.

Emma: σός

Austin's heart began palpitating wildly as he gasped at his phone. That was their call for help, only to be used in very extreme cases of emergency. He was surprised she still remembered the code. They created that when they were just kids...

"Austin? Don't murder the phone. You're gripping it real hard. What's up?" Clawd said, over his shoulder.

"Clawd, Do you think the new Alpha will let me leave again?"

"You want me to let you leave because Emma is in danger?"

"Yes! She only sends me this when it is very important. You have to let me go help her!" He told her desperately.

She seemed to realise he was going to go help Emma whether she gave him permission or not, as she waved him off and he ran out of the door, his mind filled with about sixty-five different ways Emma could be in danger of.

He snatched his phone out of his pocket as he thumbed a quick: wru and thankfully, Emma replied to him immediately, school.

He roughly knew where Emma's school was, the Elites High. Nearly everyone in the state who had some sort of ability ended up there. Those DC morons.

He reached the building before he squeezed through the closing iron gates, and wondered where Emma was in the school. Turns out he didn't need much help in that. She was the center of attention. He saw a boy and girl standing there, helpless and the slimeball— Goopee. He was sure Lucinda mentioned Goopee once or twice, and so did the vampires back at the alley. Emma was there, a towering wall of flames around her.

He managed to squeeze through the crowd without much trouble, but decided to stay in the middle in case Goopee recognised him as a werewolf or something.

"Come on out, Emma! You can't hide there forever." Goopee taunted.

Goopee seemed to be just one of the jerks at the Latin Quarter gang, but he was at the top of that hierarchy. He knew things about everyone, and the worst thing was how he knew just the word to trigger them, and control their lives forever. He was like the monster under the bed in children's nightmares, haunting you every step you take. This kicked into Austin as he let out a low growl, and began to change into a werewolf. His animal instincts seemed to take control as he growled at Goopee, and bared his teeth.

What on earth was he doing, honestly?

"Well, well. A werewolf." Goopee said with pleasure, a sickly smile plastered across his face.

Ignore him. Austin's rear end began to itch, as he instinctively

reached up his front leg to scratch it. F***ing hell, he probably looked like their neighbour's dog. He scolded himself in his mind, you're supposed to save Emma. Stop wasting time.

He went towards her, keeping a distance from the wall of flames. He needed to come up with a plan. Fast.

First thing, take out the morons. On it.

He raced towards where the boy and girl were cowering together, as he pounced on top of both of them and bared his teeth. The girl screamed as he jumped towards them, pushing the boy in front of her. What a coward. Austin changed back into a human as he gripped the boy in a vise-like grip, swinging his arm to punch him in the face. The boy's nose began to bleed, flowing streaks of crimson coming from his nose, Austin grinned as he slapped the boy's left cheek, causing the boy's head to turn left, and he slapped the right cheek and the boy's face slumped to the left. Urgh. He wasn't passing out, Austin seethed as he punched the boy one more time, before the boy went limp in his arms.
