I couldn't feel the tears rolling down my cheeks,
Everytime you walked out the door
Because I was too caught up in you.
I couldn't sense the stabs to our trust,
Everytime you lied to me
Because I was too caught up in you.
I couldn't sense the sizzle of burnt skin,
Everytime you touched her,
Because I was too caught up in you
I couldn't feel the loneliness choking me,
Everytime you lay next to her,
Because I was too caught up in you.
I couldn't.........no wouldn't
See the regret in your eyes,
Smell the alien perfume enveloping you,
Feel the hastiness in your touch,
Taste the blood on my lips,
Sense how far you have gone from my reach
Because I was to caught up in you.
You see, I truly loved you and I thought you did too
But I should have known
Everytime you bought me Roses smelling faintly of her,
I should have know.
But I was too caught up.......in the idea of you.
