As ice cold water dripped through the shower holes,
hot salty tears rolled down her eyes.
As the water drops hit her bruised skin
the harsh reality of it sunk in.
As the warm water tripped off her feeble body on to the ground,
a whimper escaped through the cracks of her hands closing her parted mouth.
As the salty water streamed on the floor, flowing down the drain,
her legs fell to the ground despondent followed by her head.
As the water stopped making her feel numb,
She woke,
She stood up taking a deep breath to make she was still alive
hoping today would be different
hoping today she would retaliate
Just like she hoped yesterday.
