Zoe's POV
I was walking down my street, but I wasn't planning on going home yet. Instead, I was going to Reagan's house, which was next door to mine.
Reagan was possibly the only person in this world that I actually liked. She was more of a sister to me than Emily ever was. She's university student, she lived on her own and moved in around two years ago.
My mum doesn't know that I talk to her, if she did, she would probably find some reason to despise her.I knocked on her door and almost immediately she opened the door and smiled.
"Hey, Zoe!" She said, pulling me in for a hug. I smiled and hugged her back. I followed her into the kitchen, admiring the tattoos on her arms. I took a seat on one of the bar stools, and she tucked her dark red hair behind her ears before walking over to her coffee machine to make us some hot chocolate.
"So how have you been, Reagan?" I asked, feeling better since I got to her place.
"I've actually been really well! I got a part-time job at the local radio station." She said, handing me my hot chocolate.
"Oh my gosh, that's great!" I said, genuinely feeling happy for her.
"What's even better though, is that they are looking for more part-time workers, and I was thinking, if you wanted to, you could work there too so you can maybe earn some money."
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to earn some money so I could buy some things for myself. My mum barely bought anything for me, and she never gave me Christmas or Birthday presents.
Reagan had bought me my phone for Christmas last year, and I am so thankful for that because there is no way in the world that I would ever get that from my mum.
I stood up from my seat and gave her another hug "Thank you so much!" I said.
We then went to her room. I sat on her bed while she went over to her to her docking station and plugged in her phone.
The song 'Teenagers' by My Chemical Romance played, and I smiled, knowing that we had pretty much the same music taste.
I looked at my phone to see what the time was, but I was surprised to see that I had a text. What? No one ever texts me.
It was also from Luke. How did he get my phone number? From: Luke:)
To: Zoe" hey, how are you?"
From: Zoe
To: Luke:)"How did you get my number?"
From: Luke
To: Zoe"I'm not answering your question until you answer mine;)"

To: Luke"I'm fine. Now answer the question."
From: Luke
To: Zoe
"I stole your phone in English, you should really get a password;)
And really, just fine?"From: Zoe
To: Luke
Yes, just fine. And with that, I locked my phone and put it away.
I looked out the window, and saw that it was already dark outside.
"Crap, I have to get home!" I said, in sudden realisation.
"Ok, also, your first shift will be on Friday night, so I'll see you then!" Reagan said, leaning in for a hug.
I quickly hugged her and ran out the door.I jumped over the side gate to my house, and climbed into my window. Just as I dropped my school bag and sat down, my mum walked in.
"Did you only just get home?!" She yelled. I shook my head.
"No, I've been here all afternoon." I lied.
"Good" she replied, glaring at me.
She then rolled her eyes and walked out.
I changed out if my school uniform and put on some track pants and a grey hoodie.
I went to the bathroom to go brush my teeth and remove my makeup, before getting into bed and falling asleep listening to the song 'Me' by The 1975
