"So what was that about?" I began, attempting to get information from Reagan.
"Pfft...what are you talking about?" She blushed, trying to avoid the topic.
"I'm talking about Johnny, you idiot."She sighed, knowing that there was no way she was getting out of this. "Well... He may or may not have asked me out" she said, cautiously.
"Oh my god yes! I ship it!" I cried, letting out my not so inner fangirl. "When's the date?"
"It's next Friday, same time when you would have your next shift. But you won't be working because we have to close that night because obviously you can't run the store on your own because you're only new."
"Oh ok then. Well I'm happy for you." I said, smiling.
We pulled up at Reagan's house, and I got out of her car, I gave her a hug and said goodbye before walking over to my house and climbing in to my bedroom window.
In the dark, I eventually found the lamp and turned it on, filling the room with a warm light.
I turned around, only to see my mother, leaning on the door frame with a glass of red wine in her hand. Her face showing a look of pure disgust and hatred.
I swear I felt all of the blood drain from my face when she began to yell.
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!" She screamed, "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THIS HOUSE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!!
Tears began to flow from my eyes and I began to explain "I was at work, I wasn't doing anything bad, I swear!" I sobbed, doing my best to properly pronounce the words that where muffled by tears.
"OH BULLSHIT!" She continued, "AS IF YOU WOULD EVER DO SOMETHING GOOD WITH YOUR LIFE!"
Her words were like a knife in my heart, tears continued to run down my mascara stained cheeks but I kept on talking.
"FINE THEN, DON'T BELIEVE ME, BUT AT LEAST IM DOING SOMETHING WITH MY LIFE, UNLIKE YOU!"
She rolled her eyes, and took a step closer to me, before pouring the rest of her wine on me, and throwing the glass directly at the wall. The smashing sound made my even more petrified than I already was.
She began walking out of the room, before turning back to face me.
"You little bitch."
Once she left the room, I peeled my drenched shirt from my body, before walking to the bathroom and turning on the shower, I removed the rest of my clothes and hoped into the shower, letting the burning hot water scald my pale skin. I continued to cry, the tears blending with the water from the shower, making my crying almost unnoticeable. I leaned against the tiled wall, sliding down it until I was sitting on the shower floor.
I continued to cry and cry, thinking about how some peoples lives are so perfect, and that mine, would simply never be like that, no matter how hard I tried.
After what seemed like hours, I got up and turned the water off and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my body. I dried myself off, and walked back to my room, putting on some sweatpants and a tank top.
I fell into my bed and pulled the blankets up to my neck, still crying when I finally closed my eyes and fell asleep.
