Real Thing-Ruel Fanfic

Part 2

Ruel's POV:

Really in the last few hours I had in Adelaide I meet the perfect girl, what is my luck.

We were just about to board the plane when my mum (Kate) asked me about 'the girl from maccas' as she calles her.
"So Ruel, are you going to tell me about her or not" she askes
"Fine mum, well her name is Tatiana or Tati for short and she is a small local singer and the song she was humming was a new melody she had thought of"
"Did you get her number, she was very pretty"
"No mum I can't just do that anymore, you know, she could know who I am and leak it or something"
"Right, I keep forgetting my little boy is a superstar now"
"Haha thanks mum, but I'm not quite that status yet"
"Well your my superstar Rueley"

"Flight 294, to Perth is boarding now" we hear over the loud speaker

"Ruel you had better tell me more about her when we are on the plane ok?"
"More about who?" My sister Coco butts in
"Oh just some girl he met at McDonald's" mum replied, exposing me to my sister.
"Cmon we have to get on this plane" I say to stop the conversation going any further.

Tati's POV:

Renèe has just left and now I was by my self. All I could think about was Ruel and if I would ever see him again. Come to think of it, Ruel, that is a funny name but it was unique and cool, I liked it.

I began humming the melody that I had come up with this morning and I figured out a few lyrics to it, but none that I really liked. I decided that I was going to have an early night so I got ready for bed and headed off to sleep. Even in my dreams I saw him, this perfect lanky tall boy, Ruel, oh Ruel why did you have to say on my mind all the time UGH.

The next morning I woke up and surprisingly I had almost completely forgotten about Ruel until I got in the shower, the melody playing in my head, it just reminded me of him. I quickly reached out to my phone and put some music on to help me not think about him, and it worked. The whole day I just had my AirPods in so I wouldn't think about him because let's face it I wouldn't see him again, he even said it, he didn't know when he would be back here, who could blame him Adelaide is the most boring city ever.

~time skip~

"No dad we can't leave, I can't leave, I'll loose all my spots at the pubs and-" he cut me off
"TATI YOU ARE COMING WITH ME, WE ARE
LEAVING TOMORROW!" He shouted.
I knew my dad and mum had been having trouble but I never knew they were getting a divorce!
I decided there was no point fighting with him so I went up to my room and packed up my necessities, mum said that I could keep my room here for when I visited from Sydney. Dad chose Sydney because his job wanted him to move there anyway, I guess splitting with mum made the choice 10x easier.
And they also decided that I would go with dad because he would be able to support me better financially. Even though I loved my mum I knew it was right to go with dad, and to be honest it wasn't that hard to leave, except for leaving Renèe.

That night she came over to my house and I told her everything, we were both sad but we knew we would be able to see each other often because of my dads job, a plane ticket is nothing out of his account.

It was final I was moving to Sydney! Tomorrow!

That night I could hardly sleep so I finished packing and picked out what school I wanted to go to  in the area where we would be living. I picked out a school with an amazing music and arts programme so I could express my talent there if I couldn't get any gigs in Sydney. I fell asleep soon after.

Ruel's POV:

We landed in Perth which was the last tour destination. Soon I would be back home in Sydney with all of my friends, but not with Tati. This made me a little sad because I would really have loved getting to know her I think. I already cared for her even though we had hardly met.
I told myself I needed to stop thinking about her the whole taxi ride to the hotel. And so I did, I distracted myself, well I tried, every now and then she would pop up into my head, I even found myself writing an song to the melody she was humming. This song would be a perfect song to replace 'not thinkin bout you' but it couldn't since it was already released a while ago so I was thinking of some titles and I figured it out, Real Thing, it obviously wasn't anywhere near done yet but it was a good start.

I gave up to think of more lyrics so I went next door to my mum and Coco's room to tell them all about Tati, every single little thing I knew about her I told them.
"Mum, I think Ruel is in love" Coco says
"Shut up Coco I am not"
"You will be if you ever see her again!" Coco teased.
"Well I'm going back to my room, I can't deal with girly talk right now"
"Ok darl sleep well for your show tomorrow"
"Ok goodnight mum, goodnight Coco"
"Goodnight love bug" they said at the same time.

That was it I was off to sleep, I couldn't think about Tati anymore, I needed to focus for my show tomorrow night.
