Hermione woke up at seven in the morning, birds singing at the windows. She smiled hazily and stretched in her bed, yawning during the process. She then proceeded to get up, choose some clothes for her first day and change in the bathroom, cleaning her teeth in last.
As she went back to the main room, she noticed a second bed. Her brain suddenly made her remember last night's events and she groaned. Taking her bag, she wondered if she should wake up Malfoy.
Maybe he liked getting up early? Or maybe he wanted to sleep till there were three minutes left before class? Not knowing what to do, she just left him in their room, going to the Great Hall.
Not a soul was there, except for Luna who was sitting alone at the Ravenclaw table. Hermione decided to go see her friend. "How did you sleep, Luna?" she asked her, sitting down in front of her.
Luna mumbled under her breath. "It was great until two in the morning," she said, cutting her apple pie in little pieces.
"Why's that?" Hermione picked out a small piece of chocolate cake and some fruit salad. She started to eat, waiting for Luna's answer.
"Um... Let's say I had some night disturbance called Blaise and Draco," Luna admitted, a guilty look plastered on her face. "I shouldn't tell anyone about that, it's not nice to speak about someone behind their backs."
Hermione frowned. "What did they do?" When she saw her friend shake her head, she sighed. "Luna, I promise I will not tell anyone whatever they did."
Luna seemed conflicted for about two minutes before she started telling the story to Hermione, who began to grow more and more furious as the seconds ticked by. Her friend noticed how Hermione had grabbed her fork tightly, almost bending it.
"It's fine," Luna told her, trying to calm her down. "I'm giving both of them silent treatment."
Hermione wanted to scream at Luna's innocence. "Luna, they were two huge idiots last night and you want to give them the silent treatment? No, you have to tell Blaise that what he did was stupid and irresponsible!"
Luna told her she didn't think it was a good method. "My mother always assured me people feel guilty when someone doesn't talk to them, and that they break in a matter of days. I just have to wait for him to. It won't take long, I saw how ashamed he was last night."
Hermione let go of the argument, though she made a mental note to ask Draco to apologize to Luna. "Well, if they had woken me up, I would have killed them on the spot," she joked.
Luna nodded. "That's why I told Draco to be quiet when he went back to your room." Hermione gratefully smiled at her friend as she finished her breakfast.
The Great Hall had started filling up, meaning it was time for her to go back to her House's table. She had also noticed Professor McGonagall handing out timetables. It took the Professor about ten minutes to give Hermione hers.
The girl looked through it, smiling when she saw she had been accepted in the class that prepared students for Healer's studies. She then noticed a new class had been added, twice per week, with no name. With what was going on, Hermione didn't doubt for a second it was related to the new Law.
The bell rang but Hermione still hadn't seen any of her friends except for Luna. Shrugging, she went to her first class.

Draco woke up with a pounding headache, making him regret last night's alcohol. He groaned while opening his eyes and cursed as he got up and painfully put on some robes. Looking at the old clock in the room, he suddenly realized he had five minutes to go to his first class, even though he didn't know which one it was.
