Chapter 6

Astrid's POV

I was rudely awoken when my phone started to ring, causing me to fall out of bed, flat on my face.

I got to my knees and picked up the phone.

I looked at the number.

I didn't recognise it.

"hello?" I said after I swiped the slide to answer button.

"Astrid! hi, are you ever coming?" asked a familiar voice.

"coming where?" I asked, very confused "who is this?"

"oh, yeah, it's Punzi," she said

"how did you get my number?" I asked, shocked.

"Merida gave it to me, well, are you comin' to the race?" she  questioned

"what race?" I asked , getting up off the floor and sitting on my bed.

"the swimming one, at school, I thought you knew."she said.

"why?" I asked, not bothered about the answer.

"it's the last one before the holidays," she pleaded "so come now or  we'll come in there and drag you out."

"what?! how do you know where I live?" I exclaimed.

"Dragon." she stated.

"Ok, let m get dressed," I surrendered "I'll be out in a min."

Hiccup's POV

"you comin to the showers?" Jack asked me as he grabbed his towel and walked towards them.

"yeah, just a minute." I said, as I grabbed my towel and followed him.

"last race of the season, huh?" he said as he turned on the water, letting it run through his hair.

"better be a good one." I shivered as I pressed the button, getting dumped with icy water.

I looked at Jack who was touching the pipe.

"dude, I've already done the ice bucket challenge," I stated, stepping away from the water "don't make me do it again."

he laughed and let go of the shower head.

I stepped back into the shower, just standing there for a minute letting the water land on my head, drip down to my shoulders and run down my back and chest.

"Alright, sharks! let's huddle!" yelled the coach.

we all jogged up to him forming a small circle.

"the other schools will be getting here any minute now," he started  "so I want you to make this school proud! you know I'm not one for speeches, so... go out there and whoop their asses!"

we took our places on the edge of the pool and dived in, swimming lane after lane until the other schools arrived.

I pulled myself out of the pool and dried myself off with the towel, walking up to the stands where the girls were.

"ladies," I flirted, laughing as Jack, Flynn and Kristoff came to join me.

Elsa climbed over the railing and tripped, falling into Jack's wet arms.

he laughed and helped her up, pulling her closer to him to kiss her.

"get a room!" Merida, Astrid, Anna and I yelled in unison, causing heads to turn in our direction.

Punzi reached out over the railing and grabbed Flynn's shoulder, pulling him toward her, crushing her lips to his.

"Well this is getting awkward," I stated as I looked at the two couples making out either side of me.
