Chapter 2

Jack's POV

---At school---

We walked into class and to the back of the room. Elsa took her seat as I sat on her desk.

"Hey frost boy, you know, there was water on that desk." she told me laughing.

"Oh, uh....." I stuttered. I stood up and stepped away from the table. I attempted to look at the wet patch on my butt.

"Thanks for wiping my desk." She said and continued laughing.

I walked over to the radiator and sat on it. "Ow! Hot!" I exclaimed.

Elsa was hunched over on her desk, still laughing.

I rolled my eyes and sat back down on the radiator.

Hiccup's POV

"Toothless, come on bud, we're gonna be late," I called from the kitchen "and bring down my English assignment."

He came bouncing down the stairs with the paper in his mouth.

"Thanks bud," I said as I took the work out of his mouth. "Toothless, what did you do?" I asked him holding up the remains of the assignment. He tilted his head and showed me his gummy smile. "Great," I said sarcastically "dragon pity."

I put on my green Union High jacket and picked up my bag.

"Come on bud,"I said as I walked out of the house. I mounted him and took off.

Anna's POV

"Hey Hiccup." I said as he walked into the room and took his place next to me.

"Hey Anna." he said.

"You seem down," I said "Are you feeling ok?"

"Toothless ate my English assignment." he told me.

I burst out laughing. "Hey! It's not funny" he said as he started laughing.

"You know Mrs Finch is gonna kill you, right." I said, still laughing.

"Yeah, I know... but they're probable gonna get worse." he said pointing to Jack and Elsa who were making out on Elsa's desk.

Merida turned to see what Hiccup was talking about.

"Will you guys please stop sucking faces?" she asked them "it's making me wanna puke."

Hiccup and I laughed as they pulled apart and Jack went to sit at the desk between Elsa and Merida.

*RING*

Mrs Cooper walked into the room just after the bell went. The rest of the class scurried into their seats.

We sat through the register, waiting for classes to start.

Jack's POV

I sat in my seat, twiddling my pencil. I couldn't help but think that I'd forgotten something. I tried not to think about it.

I kept turning around to look at the wall-mounted clock.

Punzi walked into the room fifteen minutes later than usual.

"Crap! I forgot to pick up Punzi!" I whisper-shouted.

"Dude, how did you forget to pick her up?" Hiccup laughed.

"Why are you late?" Mrs Cooper asked her.

"Sorry Mrs Cooper, Jack didn't show up, I had to walk." she told her.

I sunk in my seat and scratched the back of my head.

"Well then, I'll see you and Jack in detention then. Monday after school." she said.
