The next day I woke up early and went into the dining room for breakfast. My aunt and Britney were already there. “Hello Mrs. Rosewood, nice to see you again.” I said and smiled at my aunt who didn’t look up from her tea. “Nice to see you too.” She said coldly not even glancing at me. It might surprise you that I don’t call her aunty or whatever but my relationship with her was always cold, so I always called her by her name. I took a seat across Britney and decided to ignore her.
After breakfast I took Britney to my room and questioned her. “Now tell me everything. You are not leaving this room before you tell me everything.” She looked at me confused.
“ Your fiancé, who is he? When did you meet him? What’s with the sudden marriage?” Her face dropped as if she didn’t want to talk about it.
“Oh that! Well I met him some months ago. We spent time together and fell in love. He proposed to me two weeks ago and I accepted. We couldn’t wait to get married so we decided to do it fast.” She explained.
“Oh you are going to marry someone you recently met? Who is he anyway?”
“ His name is Kenneth Grey. He is the CEO of Grey enterprise.”
“CEO? You are marrying a wealthy man?”
“Yeah. I know you don’t like rich people but I fell in love.”
“If you say so I am happy if you’re happy.” I said and hugged her. I didn’t felt the happiness though! Something was fishy!
We heard voices downstairs and Britney beamed “He is here! Come I’ll introduce you!” She dragged me with her. When we reached downstairs she let me go and rushed into the arms of a man who I assumed was her Kenneth. I stood there awkwardly waiting to be introduced. “Miya come here.” I heard Britney telling me. I walked to her side and she introduced me “Britney this is Ken my fiancé and Ken this is Miya, My cousin and my soul sister.”
Wow! This man was...I had no words to describe him. He had a perfect oval face with a fair complexion. He had satin black silk hair and light brown eyes. He had a straight nose and thin pink lips. He had the perfect height for a man and I could see his muscular body through his white shirt. He wore a blue tie and jeans. He had a familiar thing about him. I felt as if I had seen him before but I couldn’t remember when. Now I understand why my cousin accepted to marry him. Who would say no to such a man? He was handsome, hot, beautiful, marvelous, impressive and...Shut up Miya! He was your cousin’s fiancé and your future brother-in-law I reminded myself. “Hi, nice to meet you.” He said and extended his hand. His voice was so manly! I could melt at that spot. I shook his hand. Electricity passed through me. His hand was so soft and I just wanted to feel those soft hands all over me. Wait what? It’s my cousin’s fiancé I’m talking about here! “Nice to meet you too.” I said blushing. I took my hand away before I do something wrong. I could feel his burning gaze on me. How would I bear being in the same room as him for two months when I couldn’t even stand near him for one minute? This is going to be hard...
