This flowery path i walk upon
makes me bleed
beneath those beautiful flowers
lie the sharpest thorns
on this white flowery expanse
i walk
leaving behind me a trail
a trail of crimson footprints,
staining this white flowery carpet
i leave behind reminders
the flowery bracelets
encircling my wrists
dig deep, thorns piercing
red droplets fall
from my fingers
leaving behind
gleaming ruby stains
yet i smile and walk
looking straight ahead
never let my smile falter
never let the pain show through
because
who would believe?that such innocent
white flowers
would have such
sharp thorns
thorns you can never get rid off .
